I think the $4.00 price has been a limit also that I hope we can stay above today. I think we will stay above it if we close above it. I would love to see $5.00 on this. I am a long time holder since it was ABP and I just kept thinking it had potential to have a much higher share price. Maybe this time it will get up to its peers valuations.
I also remember ABP as the stock symbol. Have some shares that go back to 2005 and have been buying on dips. Forward P/E on AXAS is very low compared to peers. If Q1 is decent we will see $5,00 and higher. ABP was a NG play; AXAS is now mostly crude and liquids. Can't tell me crude will be going down anytime soon. And yes, I'm also for a buyout but Mr Watson has a nice gig with AXAS but would probably sell if the price was north of $7.00
I got interested in ABP after hurricane Katrina. The weather folks were calling for a rash of gulf hurricanes so I thought land-based drillers would be smart money. I probably just ran into the name somewhere ard it seemed about as good as the others. I just keep buying small lots wating for the market to notice this stock. Maybe the price movement based on good numbers will get the herd noticing.
Not sure. It opens up to many more funds at $5.00, and if it gets there, it will be based on some good positive numbers.....so I guess I would say I will reevaluate at that time. I have always felt like 9 or 10 would be a reasonable price for this stock,(or a buy out) but it just never developed.....don't know why.
