Did anyone see the Ichan vs Ackman vebal fight on CNBC

It's on the main page of CNBC now.

This will be a classic and one for the history books. Both called in to CNBC and gave their side of the story with Herbalife and other matters, Ichan cursed and was livid?

CNBC has a polling link to vote for who you think won, the results so far are below.

Hedge fund investors Carl Icahn and Bill Ackman slugged it out on CNBC live over Herbalife and other deals. Who won the bout?

    Carl Icahn 36%
    Bill Ackman 42%
    it Was a Tie 6%
    Don't Know 16%

    • I don't really care about Ichan or Ackman. But I did buy HLF around 26. It was a no brainer...

That and GMCR is 2 of a kind. Make good gains on both.

GMCR is more of a long term thing, HLF is going to have bad name. Sold around 40 and got out. Don't want to mess with the big boys....

    • Too long. To much yacking

      • But real. Not just the usual anchor/host bs. I enjoyed it. I was sitting at my desk working away, but Ichan's words eventually caught my ear and I stopped what I was doing and listened. I would side with Ichan if I had to pick. Ackman has always struck me as Ichan described.

It was funny watching Cramer and Greenberg try to "one up" the exchange. All of the people on CNBC have taken the "rant" thing way to far. Its so obvious when they are doing it trying to have that "viral" moment. Which is why it's normally on mute while it's on in the office. Detest it when they have 5 or 6 screens open and everybody is trying to talk over the next guy.....very annoying. Only watch CNBC now to hear CEO interviews, the rest is no different that any comedy show you can catch on broadcast tv.

And what's up with "lemme ask you...."?

Really don't like any of them, but Kernan is ok I suppose, he at least knows how silly they all sound.

    • yep, saw it. Considered going out and buying so waaaay out of the money calls on HLF as I think Carl has the money, and the motive, to fry Ackman. But in the end, I opted to just steer clear of this battleground. It was the best thing I've seen on cnbc in 25 years.
