SJM Sees 2013 Macau Casino Revenue to Grow Less Than 15% (Title from Bloomberg piece)
Anyway, SJM suggested they see only 13% growth this year which they call good considering the huge base and rapid growth over the last few years. That company has a lot to lose in terms of share: 25 or so casinos in Macau, but is only beginning to build its first on the Cotai strip.
Cotai is the place to be, and LVS is in the catbird seat with the CC positioning (4 new resorts opened during the last 4 months and the fifth one now underway).
I don't own LVS for daytrading... the new regime's moves on real estate curbs are designed to slow things in that sector, not derail their overall economy or macau gaming... let's see the Feb numbers as the next relevant data point.
