I prefer to root around in the old predictions of Dr "Doom" Roubini, in constant amazement that CNBC and the other financial media actually pay him for his predictions. But then again, I guess it is all just entertainment, kind of like a financial World War Z. I think he may even have coined the term "zombie banks".
There was a video infomercial about Meredith Whitney yesterday where she "has doubts about everything." It appeared to be touting her "new" firm, and where she minimizes her wrong predictions about the undoing of all the municipalities.
While some did get in trouble, most seem to be holding on, and in some cases the ones that got in trouble did so because of bond swaps they did not seem to understand.
Ah, the pundits, and the old days, what a bunch. And we still have a few here, the shorts of old.
