Yes, they need to get busy. It's all about logistics of manufacturing and efficient/effective distribution to retailors who seem to have no problem moving the Santa Cruz (actually the problem is not having enough of them!)
I bought a pair a couple months ago. I've only wore them about a dozen times because its really hot in AZ right now so I prefer my Athens, Scutes, or Cretes (all styles of Crocs) that I can walk right into the pool in.
I expect in the Fall I will ramp up the Santa Cruz wearing because they really are Super Comfortable! Almost decadant...
I wonder if the buyers for the retailers aren't ordering the newer styles and staying with the tried and trues? I have been looking to buy Santa Cruz for months and cannot find a retailer with them. I don't want to order on line until I can see them for real and also try them on.
jonherrell, regarding the Santa Cruz. Turst me. You will not be disappointed in these shoes. I ordered mine from Sahalie.com (for $34.99 + shipping) and they arrived exactly a wekk later. The minute I put them on, I felt like they were PERFECT...like shoes that were custom fit for my feet. I'm not kidding. I'm a size 10. I ordered size 10 and they fit exactly right, and they are truly perhaps the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn.
I never tried them. Just thought as a shareholder it was my duty to help the cause and get a decent pair of nice-looking loafers, ...and these exceeded my expectations in every way. If I could, I'd wear them everywhere. Unfortunately, I have to occasionally "dress up" with dress shoes.... (wedding yesterday...church today...), and boy did I miss have those on my feet. The minute Crocs introduces a "dress shoe" for me, I'm there.
