I'm still a firm believer that Wendy's is a takeover candidate this year. YUM Brands most likely will be the bidder. Wendy's has a tremendous amount of positive things working well for them. Bringing back the pretzel bun is huge for sales in addition to the innovative salads. Not to mention the new store image re-branding and cost cutting expenses to improve margins. Wendy's is quite fine on their own even without a takeover, but I sure would like to see YUM buy them out for at least $16 bucks per share.
