That would be nice, but I don't see anything in the short interest numbers to suggest a squeeze. I suppose just a quick increase in price could make some shorts uncomfortable, but most of the short position in these mid caps is from short funds and etf's that still need to keep their short positions. Here is a record of the short interest in ACO over the last few years. It's been pretty steady at about 10% of float.
Street.com was showing 23.8% a couple of weeks ago. If they tried to find seven million shares before year end that would be a wild ride. Volume was up yesterday. I'd keep an eye on it. It would take a few days to play out.
