    why buy?

Don't like the downward trend in stock price but a 4.8% yield on a company with a low PEG that makes decent money is hard to ignore. Don't know why the institutions are ignoring this one.

    • I'm not sure either, but I think it is telling that even after management's "clarification", the stock is moving DOWN, not getting a pop. What does that tell me? No fund managers are buying the "clarification".

A frustrating and confusing stock to say the least! But I got out a few days ago in any case. Relying on a 4% yield in an energy market like the current one is too conservative for me. Beides, the minute the market thinks the rate hikes are done (2:15 today?) you will get a 4% increase in damn near any stock or index!

      • I get nervous when the company execs start to argue with the analysts and Wall St.

The coal sector is very strong but ARLP is NOT showing a positive trend.
This is contrary to what is expected with no reasonable answer but: what is the IPO doing??
What is the real impact on ARLP?? What is the timing??
Read the IPO announcement and ask questions!

How can anyone hang on while the stock price goes screwy? It looks like the Bubble all over again.
