The way the stock price has acted lately, going down, you would think no one is buying mowers, pressure washers, generators, etc, this year. I go by LOW, HD, Sears and WMT and I see different. Guess the suits on Wall street don't do any work around the house. Guess we will know in two days when earning come out.
Sales are down in consumer tractors in the OPE market. But, you have to realize that the decrease is versus an absolutely fantastic year last year. So, if you look at the average growth over the past, say, 5 years, you will see that consumer tractors increased several percentage points, mostly at the expense of push mowers. Now zero-turn mowers (or Z's) are getting hot, hot, hot. Watch for growth there.....
Disclaimer: As always, IMHO. Position disclosure: Flat
wsj, thanks for the info. Guess in the AM we will see exactly how all sales have been doing. It is a little bothersome that someone has been agressively getting out of the stock the last week. Sure wish I had a zero turn.
