    USDA Corn Forecast

"NEW YORK (AP) -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture on Friday estimated the nation's corn harvest will reach 13.1 billion bushels, up 24 percent from last year and amounting to the largest crop since 1933."

....I guess I don't understand this impression was that the early 30s were terrible years for farmers....drought, heat, soil erosion ect. ect.....maybe the '33 crop was big because there were so many more farmers....corn in my area (North Carolina) has been spotty.....some guys have gotten good rain, others not.
