If BG fertilizer Brazil deal goes through should BG buy something else or should BG pay off all debt AND add to its cash? This company has been around for a couple hundred years so I guess it will do the right thing.
I am no expert but if bg pays something linked to todays low interest rate might be good to take advantage of those low rates, while they last. Of course always good to have low or no debt. I like viterra today and they just increased their ability to use debt. Some specualate vt might be a takeover target at todays price. agu, and pot not too expensive right now either. anyway what do you guys think of adm vs bg, vs vt. to?
I encourage everyone on this board to contact Mark Hayden who is Bunge's Investor Relations contact and urge the firm to buy back its stock.
Management has been doing deals for years for the family shareholders only to diversify their wealth. Its time to hold management accountable for the other, I don't know, 80% of public shareholders. Please call the company if you believe you are better off with the cash on the balance sheet than the management.
They have done two equity deals in the last 12 months. The stock is trading significantly below the average price of those deals. A repurchase will represent a their highest ROI investment over the last 12 months.
