stock got a great write up in the latest issue of the high-tech strategist. new ceo from wetern digital who presided over a huge move in wdc ($2 to $15).very positive over SAS. major transition in the storage ondustry, and SAS could be the catalyst for the turnaround
Uptick-What products are they referring to that Adaptec is supposed win the business with? If this is based on some of the products that they are divesting themselves of, then the article is a little late......if it is based on SAS boards, I just don't see that much up side and since they've gotten rid of their iSCSI products, it can't be based on this either....where do you see them winning?
Not a technology expert but it seems that SAS is a great opportunity for ADPT. However in my reading it seems as if it might be a year or so before SAS technology becomes a hot market.
I never buy a stock for "buyout" reasons. However, if someone wants to leap into the SAS market ADPT looks like a viable target. Also, look at what ADPT is doing. Its divesting a good bit of its business. There could be various reasons for that divestment.
