Question: What is the difference between buying a lot of shares vs fewer due to price with a high yield bond fund. Example JNK is higher priced per share. HYF is cheaper. The yield between the two is roughly in the same area of 8-10%
either way you look at it when t bonds are 2 or 3% if you are getting 9 to 10% you are taking big risk either fund has enough risk to share with us! even more risk? arr over 19% and paid monthly dividends 12 cents small stock price or agnc 19% price over $30.00 chose your risk level
if you dividend reinvest the lower the price the better example if you reinvest in a $600.00 stock then ten dollars does not move the dial much but if the stock is $5,00 ten get you two shares and dividends on two more shares next time. it has a lot to do with significant figures.
If the yeild is the same then the price of the stock should not matter, as far as my broker goes( e-trade) no drip until the stock is over 5 per share, that could sway some one to go for a stock over $5 JMHO
