Good job and good insights. I knew the dip on earnings was meaningless and how they emphasized all the numbers with jargon and such to make a 'negative' assessment look legitimate. It was another chance, perhaps the last, to get some cheaper shares for the Tutes. I added a bit on the dip myself. I agree that before the PIII data is out, the SP will be around 9. It may actually drop a bit upon good PIII results, but then head up into the high teens. JMHO.

Yeah, I got a look at it. Didn't realize it was out today though. They might have caught wind of some PIII data though. As I understand it, the data has been locked which I guess means it has been 'cleaned'. Now just application of some statistical analysis, and boom! Should be soon.

Yeah, probably something like that following the Bioinvest stuff. They seem to cluster. My first thought was that some PIII data is starting to leak. Official news is, I'd say, about at most 3 weeks out. Could come out any time though ... I believe Stan intimated that it might be earlier than previously anticipated. Is that right?

Very interesting indeed. Buying pattern seems decidedly aggressive. Methinks something is afoot.

Those who sold after earnings were robbed ... seemed quite predictable too. The Street's remarks on the earnings left so much out about why earnings were short ... just to induce some panic selling that got scooped up by the Tutes. I took advantage of the situation and increased my position. PIII results in only a few weeks if not sooner ...

Yeah, I think he and others have sense of the data even though, as he indicated, it is locked. Based on the tenor of the whole cc, seems they are very optimistic and are preparing for a lot of work to get the vaccine licensed, manufactured, distributed and sold.

  • Their planning and execution suggests to me the preliminary data, if they have that, is that the results are good. Data locking is an interesting reflection that some have seen some data. They expect good results!

I totally agree with you birdy. I keep having cookie problems on my desktop browser. It would be great if Verizon can get their act together to save this formatting.

  • The link to the original MB now seems to work only on my smart phone. When I past the link to my browser on my desktop, it switches to the "conversations" board. What can I do to keep this from happening? Help!

  • Seems like these new versions are produced by putting each type of menu option and grouping on 3x5 cards, throwing them up in the air, and collecting them in random groupings to come up with new interface options. Yahoo does this also every few years with no research involved ... just bald attempts at trying to look slick. Functionality is ignored ... or so it seems.

ML, let me add my 2 cents. I also want to thank you for your many contributions. When reading the messages on this board, one has to learn to separate the wheat from the chaff and discern who has got something useful, credible and helpful to add and those that have just spew non-sense. It doesn't really matter whether the comments are "pro or anti" NVAX --- some level of value must sometimes be looked for in the many comments on this MB. Your's have consistently been useful, thoughtful and helpful and much appreciated. I hope you continue to pursue your interests and find your bliss. Take care and thanks.

He must have just had an over-reaction without considering how long these things take. There are so many great ideas ... some of which have been demonstrated, but are many years before any real benefit is shown. Perhaps he thought the market would react to it in a very emotional way. I'm keeping my shares ... may buy protective puts at some point, but always maintaining upside potential. BTW, the puts are because of Tentoff types ... you never know who's going to upset the apple cart with thoughtless remarks. In the long run, there is tremendous upside potential.

Arghh. I shouldn't have bothered to mention my alma mater that way. I disdain egoists and egoitis ... inflammation of the ego. It's so prevalent in many parts of our society. And there I go ... guess I have a little inflammation lately. N-e-how, what you say is right on point. NVAX has done a huge amount of research, leg work, managing production, clinical trials, publishing papers, and the list goes on. With RSV getting thru PIII, no one can touch NVAX for years ... and besides, NVAX is not standing still by any means. Birdy, as you note, an innovation after 60 years of attempts is going to show its value soon... very soon.

As an MIT alum, I can tell you that the technology they develop is first rate. I think that their innovations will spawn further developments, but it is certainly not a slam dunk. Problems will arise, modifications will have to be made ... basically things will happen that are unexpected and eventually, maybe something will come of it for humans, but that is way way off into the future. Their techniques really need to be fleshed out for human consumption and that'll take many years down the road. Perhaps NVAX will play a role there. Bottomline though, is no one can touch NVAX regarding RSV for many years to come and in the meantime, NVAX will corner the market on RSV/Flu. I am so not worried or concerned about other innovations. They can only help the human race and it's good that progress keeps being made, but for a slam dunk, NVAX holds the ball right now.

Fwiw Charlie, that seems to be pretty typical at least for nvax. It quicken s quite fast and does get the blood flowing. I suspect this I'd true for many stocks though. I just seem to watch nvax at the close almost exclusively. Fun to watch for some reason.
