I believe you because it's trading up 5% already on huge volume, but Yahoo news doesn't have the story. Can someone please post a link? (Wondering how much revenue this deal is going to bring in)
Well then explain why it was trading in the mid 4's with an intraday high of $4.74 on Tuesday on 3 MILLION SHARES !!! Today, it's down slightly but it's on a mere 46K shares---so absolutely meaningless when you consider that is only 1.5% of the Tuesday volume. The "big boys" are still holding!
Now down a full dollar from yesterday's high. And volume is only 275K --- yesterday it traded more than 10 times that, a 3+ million share volume day, so has consolidated quite nicely.
Thanks for the reply. That's what I was thinking---haven't sold a single share. In the past year, I have seen it spike huge on one single day at least 4-5 times. Two times that immediately come to mind--was on vacation in mid-Aug and and it jumped from the $7-$8 range to $13.65 (intraday), and then Thanksgiving week popped about 5 points from around 3.50 to around 8.50 one day (just approximating simply based on memory).
What I don't understand is why was it trading at 3.80 in the AH yesterday and now on the same news in the regular market it's trading at 3.41?
Woah, something is definitely up!!! 11% already, and volume doubled since the regular close. As you mentioned this "runs like the wind". In fact, we haven't had one of those crazy days in a few months. I recall the week of Thanksgiving it was in the 3's and jumped $5 one day out of the blue on zero news.

Will be interesting (hopefully be fun) to see what kind of pop this brings today:
Huh? Do you know anything about investing? It was down a mere 9 pennies today (just 2%) while consolidating a day after the massive 14% gain.
Woah, nice! More importantly, these "win" announcements are becoorming much more frequent--nearly every week. Shorts are going to start to get a bit frustrated.
Won't get there today obviously, but it always bounces off $3.50. Would be a good entry point here. The short term traders could make a quick half point, and longer term this thing always has a crazy pop about once a quarter that is usually unexplainable (like the one right before Thanksgiving when it jumped 5 points on one day on ZERO news). But on the mid-August pop there actually was a news release after the close on Friday then it popped to $13.66 on Monday (was only up to about $9 in the Friday AH). So just keep an eye on it.
But regardless, it's all good when looking at it from a 2-day point of view from Monday's 1.91 close. Since then it's up 30%!!!. This a perfect chart formation---big spike last week, then a consolidation for a couple days, then another spike the last 2 days. We can't lose tomorrow either way--either more gains, or a healthy consolidation (which is actually better in the long-term if you plan on holding it).
In the pre-market it was trading between 2.55 and 2.65. My thinking is that this leaked out to some yesterday---did you notice it was up big on no news? So a portion of the news may be priced in already. Thoughts?
Agreed. Never bought that rumor for a second (I also don't think Apple would settle---too big of an ego).
One other thing---you really think a company the size of Apple would let insider information about a settlement leak out?
Thanks for the post---future looks unbelievably bright---saw they signed 2 more deals this morning.
