But the case had been slowed by a dispute because federal prosecutors and Federal Bureau of Investigation officials in New York opposed bringing charges, while prosecutors with the Civil Rights Division at the Justice Department in Washington argued there was clear evidence to do so.
Attorney General Loretta E. Lynch, who as the United States attorney for the Eastern District of New York oversaw the beginning of the federal inquiry before her appointment to Washington, has been considering for months how to proceed.
I'm going to have to tell your brother how you despise his Federal Employment. BTW- There is nothing written in stone about Healthcare or Pensions for Federal workers, they can be downgraded at-will if Congress so chooses.
And he got stuck working for George Soros instead.
Betcha he is under CSRS, you Government neophyte !
I am FERS myself, and I thought it was a raw deal when they introduced FERS RAE. I was really surprised when they came out with FERS FRAE a year later. At what point is it no longer a good deal?
Lets say that FERS, at 0.8% cost you $20 a pay period, and some day you will get $1000 a month.
FERS RAE at 3.1% would cost you around $80 for that same $1000 monthly retirement.
FERS FRAE at 4.4% would cost you $110 for that same $1000 monthly retirement.
This is all rough estimates, but its for say someone with a high three in the mid 60,000s and 25 years of service.
Would anyone rather just have that $220 a month that they are paying into FERS FRAE and then just put it into their TSP. Is it possible to get more in retirement using that approach? Answer NO!!
Bad deal working in the Federal Government for millenials.
Hate to have to correct you, its no longer an automatic 55 under FERS, the MRA (minimum retirement age) can go up to age 57 with 30 yrs.
"Russian leaked" ? Nice Left Wing conspiracy theory. Oh yes, Russia has hacked everything except Hillarys home server is what you Loons would have us believe.
Podesta called my candidate Bernie Sanders a doofus! Good luck getting my support for your boss, Hillary NOW !
I must admit, Mr. Trump was rather mean-spirited about it. He started ok, then he devolved.
I can not vote for a politician as corrupt as Boss Tweed.
And you are suggesting that as an inclusive Democratic voter? (Thought not).
The thing of it is, I can not support Hillary Clinton. What do you suggest?
The federal government does not and never has run Wells Fargo and does not have the power to claw back compensation or fire an employee; that power rests with the board.
But in that hearing, Warren wasn’t playing checkers. The former Harvard law professor was playing Kasparov-grade chess. From the moment Warren began her 18-minute tirade, the wires began to buzz, and the testimony made a rare flow off C-Span 2 to the internet and social media. Putting on one heck of a show, Warren channeled the betrayed public, flagellating Stumpf for the bank’s misdeeds under his leadership.Senator Elizabeth Warren going full Al Pacino in “Heat” on Wells Fargo CEO John Stumpf. The people know their champion when they see one, and in short order a Facebook video posted by Warren just after the public shaming racked up more than 11 million views and almost 200,000 shares. (Warren’s office declined to comment for this story or on their video-heavy Facebook page.) AlterNet posted it and netted over 7 million, and multiple other news organizations including the BBC, NBC, NowThis, Huffington Post had their own Facebook clips of Warren’s grilling, racking up well over a million views each. And this is just one platform.
Exactly a week later, Wells Fargo said it would claw back $60 million from Stumpf and head of community banking Carrie Tolstedt, who led the community banking division that violated its customers’ trust.
And now on Wednesday, Stumpf has “retired.”
“There’s going to be a schism,” he says. Already Trump has torn apart the conservative movement. A generation of rising stars, such as Ryan and Rubio, may find their futures tainted by Trump from their failure to enlist in his army, or perhaps from their failure to take up arms against him. Or both.
It's starting to happen! The destruction of the GOP !
Bernie Sanders sold out his values. A lot of former Bernie voters won't get on the bandwagon behind him stumping for Hillary now. They'll either sit out this election, vote for a 3rd party candidate, or vote Trump.
a new poll from Morning Consult Tuesday that found Sanders to be the most popular senator in the nation, with an 87 percent approval rating in his home state. His closest rival is Republican Susan Collins of Maine with 69 percent approval in her home state, and he’s 36 points ahead of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Republican of Kentucky.
In an interview with Charlie Rose that aired today on CBS This Morning, Bill Clinton almost seemed to be reaching out to Sanders when he put a complimentary spin on what was at times a bare-knuckle fight with his wife. “Bernie Sanders, I think, was a much more positive populist," Clinton said. "That is, he wanted to do things. He had an affirmative agenda. And so did Hillary, and they argued about which one’s was better.”
