I enjoyed the ride from $16.17 last year and exited the remainder of my small position about an hour ago (somewhere else to put it and don't fancy hanging around much to see what happens after yesterday's action).

I have to agree with you Tahartl (from another thread). My thoughts today are with Jarrett (Jett) and Austin, not to mention their parents and families. No matter what else, no amount of money can replace the health of a young boy, and I acknowledge full credit and praise for the huge role that the DMD families played in heightening awareness, knocking on every door and pressing every doorbell they could think of, and keeping anyone who had an interest informed of their trials, tribulations and occasional triumphs to this point. They should be so very proud of their efforts.

That enormous effort is the reason why I allowed myself to become much more emotionally attached to SRPT than any stock I have ever owned before, and despite the disappointment of the cut in profits many of us longs experienced yesterday, I hope that those two young guys get what they absolutely need as quickly as possible.

Even those who have lost in the last 24 hours have time to pick up, dust down and move on in whichever direction we choose; the boys and their parents don't have that time.

    Count your blessings.

When He asked you to HELP, I think He meant that you offer to SERVE TEA AND REFRESHMENTS to the SRPT investors.

I think you read too much into your conversation with Him and felt EMPOWERED to lay down a cover of WITHERING ONSLAUGHT of BS, backed up by your TOTAL INTRANSIGENCE to acknowledge that there might be any OTHER WAY to look at SRPT than through your TA.

Anyway, good luck in your retirement, the investing world will be at a loss without you, but I hope that when your time on this world comes to an end, that you do get to see your maker.

And that he gives you a BETTER JOB up above than he gave you DOWN AMONG US MORTALS.

I have been in and out of UNXL for almost five years, and if there has been one consistent gripe I have had, it was their complete and utter lack of pr or communications. I have rang and spoken to Jeff Tomz on a number of occasions, and even spoken with Reed Killon a couple of times too. I went so far as to offer my professional services to manage such releases, if they didn't have the time or inclination to do so themselves. My offer was politely declined.

For a company whose ultimate customers are people who want to use the product to communicate (among other things) I always believed that their own communications should have been way better than they have been.

I'm out of UNXL at the minute, but this has to be a fantastic re-entry point, because if the product is good, and I have been around here long enough to hold a firm belief in it, then this past two weeks are but a blip and this price will soon be disappearing in the rear view mirror, but if ever there was a need for market reassurance, it has to be now.

Seeking Alpha should face an inquest and criminal proceedings if found to be negligent in their editorial responsibilities by preventing the dissemination of damaging lies and misinformation.

    Goodbye until next time.

I love where you're going to. I've spent many wonderful vacations (or 'holidays' as we call them over here - in Ireland) from childhood to adulthood on the Cote d'Azur, and Monaco too on occasions.

In the real world, I work for myself in beautiful Swiss watches, and someday I hope to open a little luxury watch boutique in a little town I came to love along that coastline.

So enjoy your cruise around the Med. Wish I was there now! Slán.

That is the first sensible thing that's been said here for days Viper.

Barely worth a look this place now.

  • (SRPT) Provided an update on discussions with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regarding a potential application for accelerated approval of eteplirsen for the treatment of DMD. The FDA requested that Sarepta provide additional information from the existing eteplirsen dataset to inform a decision on the acceptability of this dataset for a New Drug Application (NDA) filing under the Subpart H Accelerated Approval regulatory pathway. This feedback was provided in meeting minutes from an End-of-Phase II meeting with Sarepta and the FDA's Division of Neurology Products that occurred in the first quarter.

Does the last sentence mean that they have provided the requested additional information?

    Looks like it to me.

Cannot find the $SRPT Twitter feed. I've been on it daily for months, but it's not there right now. It might just be my system, but I have tried Chrome, Firefox and IE browsers.

If it took the support of those here who do value and appreciate your input to rally round and help you realise that you should never turn tail on imbeciles, then it is a positive that you did vent your frustration, and I am glad to stand in your corner with my support.

I hope it establishes a precedent for the other fine voices here.

Do not allow these pond life the air they need to breathe. Completely and utterly ignore them. Not even a thumbs down. Even they count.

    Fair play to you.

I hate to see trash getting a score.

Responding in any way to these amoeba (even giving their comment the thumbs down) lets them know they're getting under your skin and encourages them even more. Total silence is their nemesis.

Completely and utterly ignore their every word and action.

    With you on that Greyzone.

I am sorry you have taken this decision Ruby, but it is not hard to understand why.

Good luck, and enjoy the fruits of your enterprise.

Sorry about your obvious inability to absorb a 12% hit on yesterdays news.

    But you are a fool.

You want a tip? Maybe don't bet so huge next time.

Jett's Mom: "What I said to the FDA"

This should be kept high on the board as a reminder that it's not all about you or I, the investor.

It does sadden me that idiots can come and bang out their poison on these boards: but I suppose if there are individuals who can blow holes in children on the streets of your cities, then why should I be surprised if like-minded callous cyber thugs (who are only removed from terrorists in that they hide behind pseudonyms and wouldn't have the ball s to risk their chicken necks), feel safe to mock these kids and their families from the relative security of their keyboards.

Some could do well to remember who this is all about.

Jett's Mom: "What I said to the FDA"

    Extraordinary read.

Compared to the boys and their families, we have nothing in this. Any one of us can decide if we stay or leave the stock. These people have no such luxury as choice.

The very worst we can lose is our investment, and for many round here, the stock would need to completely crumble to come anywhere close to a loss. And that is not going to happen.

From Christine McSherry's Jett Foundation article tonight:

"In the meantime, Sarepta has assured us that they will provide the FDA with all the supporting documentation, they will continue on their path to upscale manufacturing and the conversations will be ongoing with the agency to ensure they are all working together and in the right direction, in an effort to save time.

It sounds to me as if all the details of accelerated approval are being worked out ahead of time. However, we still need to be aware that little time slips add up, and that is something the Duchenne community cannot afford. As a community, we need Sarepta and the FDA to be aware that there is limited time; both of them need to do everything possible to minimize anything that could increase time. On the call last night, Sarepta’s CEO clearly stated that the FDA was willing to be flexible in their schedule to expedite the process. We also heard this message of urgency in Sarepta’s CEO’s speech last week during the WODC conference."

And from her subsequent tweet, 45 minutes ago:

"FDA doing due diligence, no delay, being proactive - we are pleased"

    SEC Rule 201 guys?

We're in that 10% decline on previous close zone surely?

  • archie_haddock by archie_haddock Apr 16, 2013 9:29 AM Flag

Rule 201 includes the following features:

Short Sale-Related Circuit Breaker: The circuit breaker would be triggered for a security any day in which the price declines by 10 percent or more from the prior day's closing price.

Duration of Price Test Restriction: Once the circuit breaker has been triggered, the alternative uptick rule would apply to short sale orders in that security for the remainder of the day as well as the following day.

Securities Covered by Price Test Restriction: The rule generally applies to all equity securities that are listed on a national securities exchange, whether traded on an exchange or in the over-the-counter market.

Implementation: The rule requires trading centers to establish, maintain, and enforce written policies and procedures that are reasonably designed to prevent the execution or display of a prohibited short sale.

Isn't there any way he can given the drug which is turning his little brother's life around while Austin watches?

That is way more important than any money.

  • archie_haddock by archie_haddock Apr 15, 2013 5:48 PM Flag

Of course there are many other boys, but of all the people we know about who are connected to the Eteplirsen trials, that fine young man Austin surely is the bravest of the brave.

Isn't there any way he can get the drug before approval? Before his condition deteriorates further?

    Imagine sitting in his position.

My heart goes out to him right now.
