If you are so worried about how Pixar builds
    shareholder value then
Why don't you make a list of
intelligent ways for Pixar to build shareholder value
    and
Send it to Pixar's Investor Relations group?
    (After
you've made your list, please post it here so we can all
    see your brilliant suggestions.)

    Calamity, It
is clear that the current method is a lot slower
than most of us would like, but it is how Steve likes
    to do it.
His plan is to build great products,
    create multiple overlapping revenue streams,

Increase book value, hire top talent, invest wisely,
    increase "yearly" earnings,
    And pray that eventually
    the market will reward you.
    (It worked for Apple.
Soon it will work for Pixar.)

    Good Luck with
    building your list,

We would all love to see the

As the long time Pixar day trader "Jorda" used to
say: "Pixar is a Buy between $32 and $35"
    We are
back in the buying zone, YES !!!

    By the way,
are you ready for an upward swing ???

    Over 3
Million shorts still haven't covered. (ha ha ha ha ha
    ha)
Over 1 Million shorts have covered since January 1st
    (The smarter ones, of course!)

    Oh how much fun
an upward run would be !!!
    Especially if the
stock were to spike into the forties or fifties
    !!!

Lots of good news on the way. Here is a
    sample:

    * Pixar moves into its new studio.. .. (More space,
Mostly paid for.. State-of-the-art.. In Emeryville,
    CA)
    * August 1, Disney Gold Collection Edition of "A
    Bug's Life" On DVD
    * August 8, The release of "Buzz
Lightyear of Star Command". On both Video & DVD
    *
    October 17 - Release of "Toy Story / Toy Story 2 - DVD 2

    * October 17 - Release of "Toy Story / Toy Story 2
    Collector's Set - DVD 3 Pack"
    * October, The launch of
"Buzz Lightyear - The Television Series"
    * Oct -
Dec, The launch of many new toys and products based on
    Disney/Pixar characters
    * In time for the holidays: Videos,
DVDs, Toys and much, much, more

    Several videos
    and "Four DVDs !!!"

This company has a ton of
cash in the bank, has signed several excellent
    producers,
    and is building, building, building.

    Where are we today.. .. .. ..

    In the last
twelve months Pixar has spent millions of dollars
    building
    a state-of-the-art Animation Studio in
    Emeryville, California.

    * (More space & better space)
== (Room for growth & Expanded
    opportunities)

During the last twelve months, whilst pouring millions
of dollars into the new studio,
    Pixar managed to
add an additional "$50 Million" to their cash
    reserves.
The extra "$50 Million" in addition to the
    "$148 Million" they had leaves
    Pixar in a "Cash
    Rich" position.

    * With almost $200 Million in
cash reserves, Pixar has the means to fund new
    projects

Pixar currently has four movies in various stages of
    production and plans to
    start releasing one movie per
year. To assist with the creation of new
    movies
Pixar just signed up "Brad Bird" as one of the newest
    members of the Pixar team.

    * Brad Bird is one of
the best director's in animation (Best known for The
    Iron Giant)

    This year Pixar isn't releasing
another fall length feature animation but to
    fill the
gap in their revenue stream Pixar plans to release
    additional videos and DVDs
    starting in the third quarter
and again in the forth quarter. In addition to
    the
videos and DVDs Pixar and Disney will be launching a new
    television series based
    upon "Buzz Lightyear and
    friends".

    * August 1 - Release of the Gold Collection Edition
of "A Bug's Life" on DVD
    * August 8 - Release of
"Buzz Lightyear of Star Command" on Video and DVD
    *
    October 17 - Release of "Toy Story / Toy Story 2 - DVD 2
    Pack"
    * October 17 - Release of "Toy Story / Toy Story 2
    Collector's Set - DVD 3 Pack"
    * October - Disney and Pixar
    launch a seven-day-a-week television show
    .. .with 52
episodes to be broadcast on UPN and 13 episodes on
    Disney-owned ABC.

    During 1999, sales of the "A Bug's
Life" video and DVD accounted for most of
    the money
earned by Pixar. This year Disney and Pixar co-release
    "four" DVDs.

Next year Pixar starts releasing one
    movie per year.

    Hmmm

    - Overlapping
    revenue from several movies.
    - Royalties from all
merchandise sales associated with movies and
    television.

Yep, it appears that Pixar is quite busy building
    shareholder value.

    Here's to "$200 and
    Beyond"

May it happen sooner than you expect !!!!

    Temporary Id # 123456789000,

    You asked the
question: "How does PIXR get revenue from Buzz
    TV?"

Have you ever asked yourself the question "How much
does PIXR get if Disney doesn't produce the Buzz TV
    show?"

If you were at last year's annual meeting you would
have heard Steve Jobs explain to investors that there
is no real money in creating a cartoon television
series. What you get from the television series is name
recognition and a platform for selling toys.

    From what
I've heard "Pixar still gets their standard slice of
all toy sales from all characters originally
    developed by Pixar"
(That is all TS2, ABL characters
    and all new Disney/Pixar characters)

    When it
comes to the television series, "Pixar has the option
to co-finance it or to receive passive
    royalties."
(Id didn't see a statement in Pixar's last 10Q about
spending money to finance the series.)

    Once again,
to answer your question: "How does PIXR get revenue
    from Buzz TV?"

    1) Toy Sales, especially
    end-of-the year holiday toy sales
    2) Passive royalties
from the television series (You need to push Anne at
the shareholder's meeting for a percentage.)
    3)
Millions of dollars of free publicity (Since the Pixar
name will be on all of the products)

    Now it
is your turn to answer my question " How much does
PIXR get if Disney doesn't produce the Buzz TV show?"

    AND
Pixar shares in the profits from all related

Oh, you are right !!! Disney will be
    creating the Television series.
    That means that Pixar
will be able to concentrate their resources on major
    motion pictures.
That makes a lot of sense, doesn't
    it?

At last year's annual meeting Steve Jobs basically
told share holders that there is no "real money"
    in
creating a television series. So why go through the
    effort?

Steve was also quick to point out that television
series have a tendency to create a demand
    for
ancillary products. For example: toys, toothbrushes,
pictures, tee shirts, bedding, beach towels, etc.
    etc.
Guess what !!!!! ?????? Pixar still gets half of all
    profits from ancillary products !!!!!!

    What a
great deal for Pixar !!! They don't have to spend their
    money creating the television series
    "But" they get
to collect half the profits from merchandise and
    licensing revenues !!!

    Sounds like the profits will
be rolling in better than I expected.

Look for a June or July run up.

    The
analysts usually start their push two to three months
    before a big event.
They know that the new Video,
DVD, and Television Series will have an
    effect.

I expect their upgrades to happen, next
    month.

Of course, any moves that they want to make on this
stock will happen weeks before the upgrades.

    It
all concludes with higher numbers and

    The

For several years Pixar floundered in the buzz
    cycle
No new movies, no movies promised for several years,
and no other new products expected.

    As the
buzzing bug likes to remind us "Pixar was a pure cyclical
    stock"
For those who don't already know, Pixar bounced
between $35 and $50 for almost two years.
    Much of that
time Pixar held steady in the low forties; maintaining
a running average of about $41.

    That was
then, this is now !!! "Now Pixar is a value
    company."

the following are all firsts for Pixar
    (Most
    happen this year.)

    space for many new employees
