$4 or $5 could happen. Just don't see it with a conditional approval that requires more testing.
If so, expect we'll see $2 or $3. Don't really get the bashers who spend 24/7 saying the same thing over and over on this board.
Not true. He serves until the end of the next session of congress. I also thought he was not, but checked with the FCC about it.
Was there news?
Will be interesting to see how the rest of commissionaires vote on Globalstar's TLPS request? My read is Pai is an outlier in the group who enjoys fighting the tide/majority. I expect the analyst who said it will pass may be correct.
Rules say he is allowed to stay until the end of the next session of congress (after his term expires). I looked into it.
"In this meeting and on this call, Globalstar’s representativesurgedthat the Commission adoptrules in thisproceedingto authorize an innovative broadband service,Terrestrial Low Power Service (“TLPS”). Weexplainedthat the rules the Commissionproposed unanimously wouldserve the public interest by adding 22 megahertz to the nation’s broadband spectrum inventory. Importantly, Globalstar has demonstrated that TLPS does not interfere with other unlicensed services and, in fact, benefits adjacent-band Wi-Fi as it “offloads” other 802.11-based traffic onto a fourth, non-overlapping IEEE 802.11 channel and alleviates congestion in the 2.4 GHz ISM band. Simply put, Wi-Fi users will be better off with the expanded capacity made available via TLPS. We also noted that, if the Commission prevents TLPS deployment on Channel 14, the top portion of the 2.4 GHz ISM band will continue to be underutilized. Measured by what is best for consumers, rather than what is best for Globalstar’s potential competitors, the right decision in this proceeding is clear. The Commission should adopt rules authorizing TLPS. "
HIs web site says he's done on Thursday. Not sure where you see the 2019 date or are you just guessing? Would seem to be plus for GSAT for him to be leaving.
Assume it could be a big week. Would seem this is a positive?
Is this correct? Hard to sort out fact/fiction
Pre Market shares trading at $1.17.
