No disrespect intended, but are you high? Not too different than Tesla.
Time will tell, boys and girls, but the chances of some Chinese penny-stock company stealing the Q IP seem a whole lot greater than this deal leveraging some substantive cash flow to the US.
To me, this Hail Mary puts the lie to all the happy talk over the years. The Q had a fighting chance in heavy equipment in the US and either blew it or was squashed by the competition through no fault of their own. Proterra was wonderful, but Proterra has 60 buses on the road right now, and their run rate to fill the cities with their lovely product was not nearly enough to keep the Q afloat.
No company with options sells a majority stake at no premium (even though in the BS call the CEO spoke to the premium of the purchase price over an average of enough months to make it appear to be a premium) to an unknown penny stock Chinese company.
