You forgot about his Trophy wife! Also he bought yesterday pre-market and sold at the open and made 6 1/2 cents. Disregard the stock he is holding at $3,50, that doesn't matter! What a BS'er!!!

Debt bonds were selling at $.35 ob the dollar. That is why the stock at 40% was a good deal for them. We'll find out more on 5/26 about the restructuring. Iy was a very small dent in a big pot anyway.

Oil up, all the averages up over 1%, SDRL down 2%. Not a good sign. The real stories out of the shareholder meeting will be forward guidance and news of the restructuring that Morgan & Co said would be out in June. Could get a surprise to the upside depending on when cancellation charges are posted. They could show them now as a debt liability. But the real news won't be earnings unless it is a really big surprise (up or down).

You're not a party pooper, you're a realist. Gayme has been a cheerleader for SDRL for a while now. No doubt he gave you the thumbs down and I gave you a thumbs up to offset it (he is really crazy about that thumbs thing).
Morgan & Co. is supposed to come out with the re-org plan in June and an ideal time to announce it would be at the shareholder meeting. The only upside I can see is a posting of the cancellation charges as debt owed on the balance sheet and guidance will understandably be pitiful. I have been short this stock for over two years and it has been a reliable cash cow with a few blips up that the longs take great joy in as they slowly lose their money. Oh well.... They should be better people though.

You can't give away UDW rigs right now. No work and who's gonna buy them to watch them sit. If they are bought it will be some of SDRL's bright and shiny new rigs at 10 cents on the $. Yep, that's good business.

Tell your stories loser. 7 BS degrees and a "Masters" (at BS). You can only get two in a lifetime!! Look it up! You tell a lot of stories about me here and write me poetry really Gayme it is not even annoying for me. So go ahead and keystroke away!
I have been spending my time more productively working on my truck. I didn't blast you when this POS was going down for two years why are you so hell bent on blasting me now? Have you lost that much? So much you bragg about a $289 gain and even that is more bS because you are long and your oldest shares come off first, not the 3,000 you say you bought and sold today. Are you really that stupid?
My "tract" home is on an acre 10 miles from downtown San Diego and I have three horses. (2 are mine and one is a friends) I've wasted enough time on you! Only had time today because I am waiting on parts.

SDRL has a habit of beating earnings estimates and I have always bought calls to cover and always (except once) made money doing this. It has always been a short term play though. I have calls now that expire in June just in case they do it again and for coverage for a surprise from the Morgan & Co. plan. Oil is also at a high for the year right now, but at $50 the caps come off some of the wells the frackers have and supply will recover in a pretty quick turnaround. Iran will also help in this.

The lowest trade of the week was only for a few shares and it was probably robo generated because the price paid was $3.0101. To get your average down from buys at $3.40 you would have to buy a lot more than a few shares.
A liar teaches nothing except they are a liar. Going up from a $190 profit to tens of thousands? Good luck with that. SDRL is likely to close higher today and tomorrow. They have a well documented path of beating earnings estimates and the estimates are way down so I thoroughly expect them to beat again.
After being counseled by the lawyers about setting expectations too high (after the dividend debacle that generated a lot of shareholder suits) they have been much more realistic in their guidance in earnings calls. On the other hand Morgan could come out with something creative and so I have some insurance "Calls" but they are will out of the money and if I can get my average back (13 cents) I will be lucky.
You sure have a inflammatory way of writing. Must be a product of your raising. I am simply trying to exchange ideas here. Grow up!
Some light drizzle this AM and still waiting on some parts. If the weather clears I just might be able to start the truck in a week, two at the most. But still a long ways from driving it so I may have to excuse myself for a while again. Whether this POS is up or down has no influence on me. The truck does.

You have a right to your opinion, don't let the board hulagan discourage you. He is just sad, I think from history they could beat on earnings, especially if the post the cancellation charges against this quarter. The real missing piece is the re-org plan. The earning call will no doubt have to answer questions about that if they do not announce the entire plan. Guidance will no doubt be bad. Today's rise is due to swing trades on this stock and will fade fast after the call.

I wish we didn't have to hear your demeaning ways again after right now. Why do you do this? Simply because people have a different opinion? What happens if you are wrong? You should expect the same?

  • billknight3402 billknight3402 May 25, 2016 2:48 PM Flag

The issuance has always been for a $1B share issuance to cover short term debt requirements, not 1B shares. I quite frankly think they should do a reverse stock split and then issue new shares to payoff most, if not all debt and then they could be competitive in this new cut throat marlet where everybody is slashing day rates just to keep busy.

  • billknight3402 by billknight3402 May 25, 2016 3:52 PM Flag

SDRL has a habit of beating the numbers and I suspect (like most) they will beat again due to the booking of cancellation charges (most likely). After the release there will also be forward guidance and a further review of the numbers and guidance. Expect this to go down just as rapidly as it went up (IMHO).
Yhe biggest news tomorrow will be the re-org plan. If not formally announced tomorrow there will undoubtedly be a lot of questions on this. That will be the most interesting part of the call (for me at least).
