I'm guessing we'll see a bull flag going into the presentation, with a range from April high of 6.50 - 8.00, barring unforeseen news. This would be constructive action and may provide some good day/swing trading opportunities. Full disclosure: holding my core shares, my do a bit of trading the next two weeks.
Nice post. It also needs to remembered that EVERY big long term winner has back-and-fill periods on the way up. Every one of them. We could hit 20 this summer and fall back to 14 without blinking an eye. Such action is meaningless though on the way to 100 or 200 (or higher).
The volume build on the 5-min chart is impressive, but I agree a real push will be needed to get through 8. No worries either way.
I was reviewing the big drug companies' mkt caps this morning. All the big guys (BMY, GSK, PFE, GILD, etc) have MC's north of $100 bil, AND have experienced moderate pullbacks the past 6-12 months. Would the entire AVXL pkg not be worth 8-10% of one of these giants' portfolios? Computing into a $10 billion (300 bucks/share) buyout price? Seems to me if the upcoming data is great, 10 billion would be a bargain. Trying like crazy to 'devil's advocate' this thing, but I keep coming to the same dreamy conclusion....
Penny-ante insider trading investigations - that's about the limit of FBI competence these days. Compromising national security with a loose email server? No problem, let's elect her president.
It's interesting how your post is being attacked, when it contains nothing but truth. Could AVXL shoot to the moon by 3 pm today? Of course it could. But it probably won't. I love this stock's potential, and am quite long, but some of these posters seem to have picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue. Bring on the 'thumbs down,' lol.
