It figures that a permadoomer like you would cheer for the end of India since it is one of the key growth engines of the 21st century.
So according to you, the numerous changes to financial regulations implemented following the 2008 crisis have been completely ineffective in improving the ability of the world financial system to endure similar stresses. Go figure...
yes, they brought it up specifically in response to the 1% drop today. sheesh. looks like you doomers will be busy cooking bull(shiat) stew all weekend long huh.
crispr-cas9 is apparently the next big thing these days in the world of genome editing.
@Agriculture giant Monsanto has licensed CRISPR-Cas9 genome-editing technology from the Broad Institute for use in seed development, the company announced on Thursday, a step that will likely accelerate and simplify the creation of crops that are resistant to drought or have consumer-pleasing properties such as soybean oil with fats as healthy as those in olive oil.
Interesting. It does indeed appear this was already done 15 years ago. Quality reporting just ain't what it used to be any more huh.
One a related note, look for homemade frankenlife crawling out of a neighborhood garage near you soon.
@The simplicity and low cost of tools to edit the genetic code means “garage scientists” - or amateurs with some skill - can now perform their own experiments, posing a potential risk from the release of GM bugs, a new report suggests. In a report published on Friday, the Nuffield Council on Bioethics said that the rise in precision “gene editing” tools had revolutionised biomedical research over the past ten years and could potentially have a dramatic impact on human society. But it found that the materials needed to perform basic experiments were available to enthusiasts outside academia and established labs. This year, one firm began to sell a kit for £100 to DIY biology interest groups that allowed them to render the common soil microbe, E coli, resistant to the antibiotic streptomycin.
Is this an early form of it? It would seem so, even if it only combines large segments of DNA. If so, why are there no legal objections being raised?
@A baby boy has been born using a "three parent" technique that combines DNA from three individuals, researchers report. The now-five-month-old was born to Jordanian parents, carried by a 36-year-old mother who had four pregnancy losses and two deceased children who had Leigh syndrome. To achieve conception, the mitochondrial DNA from the Jordanian mother was discarded and her nuclear DNA kept. That nuclear DNA was then added to a donor egg, which provided the mitochondrial DNA for the baby.
Here's one of his trades hahaah.

If by that you mean the upcoming election then yeah, a Trump win would be a major setback. But not nearly the end of the world like you think. Every event is Doom in your twisted little world. sheesh.
Seems to me it's the 0.1% like you that has and continues to be dead wrong. The world population continues to go about its daily routine while you rant and rave about the impending End Of The World ,day in day out.
Why does everything have to end in nuclear war? But I do agree with everything else you said.
Hoser? Haha dude this is not SCTV and we're not in the 80's.
Whatever... and moron is your name and don't you forget that. I'm done wasting time on you. Have fun playing in your sandbox with the other fools.
