will the shareholders of this stock get anything for the spin off? Last time I saw something like this cop spun off an MLP and the shareholders got nothing for it. Just curious. CVI did it with UAN and CVRR but the shareholders got a lot of money per share in the form of a special div.
very nice I bought in the low 20's to cost average what I got in the mid to upper 20's. Very happy I did, are you keeping the cash or divvy reinvesting?
got in today in the 16s and very happy to do so, I work in the medical field and this is a nice one to be in. Didn't buy a ton just a few 100 shares but this stock can easily move with such a low float.
Watched cramer today and while I do not agree with him a lot he made a lot of sense for the off shore drillers today, get ahead of the bs analyists and get in now at lows while the onshore drillers are going good, they seem to flip flop a lot on the hotness of the secor.
Long SDRl, RIG, ESV and DO at these levels all 5% + yielders
I would add SDRL to that list, I have been buying DO in incrments but I will be adding RIG and ESV shortly.
couple reasons for the rise, the stock was over sold, divvy is rock solid, increased prices in nat gas as a feed stock for other fert companies translates to better pricing power for coke UAN, and they are able to raise prices and still be cheaper than nat gas competitors.
how do we make money on a spin off if we get no shares? I never really understood thins. I made a lot of money on COP/PSX but got nothing for psxx spin off, nothing. If we get a state in the new company then I am ALL for it but its another BS s"spin off" I will sell asap
got more today close to the low, personally I think it is WAY over sold and with the new deep water rigs coming on line I thinks its a strong buy
from what I have read NYCB already meets all the capitol requirements for the larger banks in terms of reserves and their loan loss proviosions are far below the nation average, this stock is a strong buy in the 14' s. The divvy should not be an issue
we will see in the new year, I have been buying all of these stocks at these levels, CVRR, UAN and CVI I am long term and the yields are fantastic, IMO both CVRR and UAn should be 25-30 a share
thanks for the reply, was just watching CNBC and Kramer mentioned CVRR is a good light, not that I had doubts to be honest I expect this stock to be a lot higher soon, people will go for that divy, its just to good right now for people not to be jumping in.
Hello, I was wondering what you all think about which one to buy right now? I recently sold my COP after a nice run (had the psx spin-off as well), I was looking to put some money to work with one of these two companies (I already own some UAN and CVRR). Right now I am leaning twords CVRR due to current price.
odd considering that nyb didnt drop its divy even when the #$%$ completely hit the fan in 08-09.... maybee he is trying to knock the stock down a bit more to get into it for hsi trust?
yea yahoo date isnt right but they dont update that fast, heck NYCB still doesnt have a working message board.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
thanks, I am still deciding on what my plan will be, hold and hope for a better offer, hold and get the divvies up until the merger or go through the merger and get ICE stock (though i prefer dividends)
