To the analyst, Southwest originally was going to start Hawaii in 2013 but backed off. I am sure for many reasons but no doubt part of the reason is none of their planes have food service or entertainment. Pretty hard to compete with that equipment. Please do some research next time. Meanwhile HA will be rolling out fully loaded 321s next year to destroy the direct outer island market and hit smaller markets. Its not Hawaiian who needs to be worried, its Alaska
Not sure on taxes, I would estimate fuel cost for a rt at $150, down from $350 two years ago. I was wrong on the flight it is more like 7 hours. Still looks like these are very profitable routes. And demand will only increase
Been here since $5 but have sold off 75%. Pretty crazy last couple years. I held a lot and made a bundle. My new fav is UHAL, check it out
In the past 5 years I have made a bunch of money on airlines. One of the things with airlines is you do not have to guess what is going to happen. You can easilty check prices.
Checked American August 1 to London. From JFK best price is $992 rt. From LAX is 1402. Move to October and the price drop is $792 from JFK.
These are huge premiums to costs, the flight from JFK is like 5 hours. A typical domestic flught that length is $400. They are making huge profits on London flights and with lower hotel prices demand will only go up.
This whole thing is way overblown.
see whats going on
GOOGLE Barchart Jet fuel, they give futires, We are at $1.20 now, a year ago we were at 1.85. Two years ago $2.90. Fuel savings since 2014 is around 6.5 billion a year or $10 a share
Blow out summer for airlines on the way
