By our chairman (of this board's) very admission- McDonald's has its problems. And
there was an analyst (pumper) who said if McD picked up MNST it could mean 1.5
billion in additional revenue. There are (were) 2 McDs near me here on the east coast.
A good one and a bad one. The good one is still there but really it was only good
relative to the other one. ie it's pretty dead. Equivalent to maybe a so-so c-store.
The bad one closed (right on Route One-one of the busiest roads going from
Maine to Florida). McD does a lot of their business from their drive thru. MNST's
strength is having a big door as Budjo calls it showing all their flavors. If MCD carries
just one or two of the flavors in a mini frig by the counter it's not going to get people's
attention as much. And the people in the drive thru won't see it at all. I say if they get
picked up they'll see maybe 100MM (still not bad) but nothing like what the pumper
