" This trial can only be used if they prove reversal as a means to raise money for a replacement trial. FDA would not accept this trial in a filing. There is no doubt about that."
Not sure I agree with the above statement. I don't know enough about how this things work, but my common sense tells me that if there is a way Galena can test which of the 70 recurrences had NeuVax and which did not, the FDA has some decision thinking to do. What if 60 of the 70 were on placebo?
Be careful what you wish for. We all wished to get the IDMC recommendation sooner rather than later as the end of the 2nd quarter drew near, then we did, and wished we had never heard from them. Be patient and let the company do what they must in order to get to the bottom of this. A PR today, tomorrow, next week is not the issue here. Keep your eye on the ball.
When I go long a stock and the stock doubles or triples and I take my profits, I no longer hang around that message board arguing with shorts. I've made my money, I move on to my next investment. So with NeuVax failed, the price hitting all time lows, and the shorts having made a killing.... I have to wonder why are they still here? Don't they have a life? Are they so pathetic as to view this activity as their high light of the day? What #$%$ they are, online and in real life.
I am not so sure someone got to the IDMC, but I would not be surprised to learn someone got to the CRO or some other individual having to do with the labeling of the data. I had expected the pps to rise slowly as we got closer to the end of the quarter and to getting the interim report from the IDMC. I was surprised to see the pps go sideways and at times drop on continuous shorting pressure. I don't believe the shorts knew NeuVax would fail, but given the IDMC systematic reversal language on their letter to Galena, could the shorts have known there was foul play at work? Definitely, specially if they were the ones doing the bribing.
I am of the same opinion. One week to figure out what went wrong is just not enough and I would rather see them take longer than have them come to the wrong conclusion. What I am hoping for is that they can determine to a high degree of certainty that there is in fact something wrong in the collection of data, and do a proper investigation. Unless the mistake is so obvious that they can figure it out in a week's time, I hope to hear Schwartz say in the CC..... We know there was some mix up or mistake with the handling of the data, we continue to believe that NeuVax works as we expected, and will take a few weeks reviewing every step of the process before making a final determination..
constantinioannides, I would be interested in your take of the interim results.
The problem rocket is that you are making ASSUMPTIONS on how much time Galena had to review the data. What we know for sure is that the IDMC drafted and delivered their letter on the 27th and Galena filed the 8-K on the 29th. What the IDMC COULD have or SHOULD have done is meaningless at this point and we cannot place blame on Galena for that.
Where is this 5 days coming from? The 8-K filed on June 29th clearly states that on June 27th the IDMC recommended the trial be stopped. My math tells me that is only 2 days and less is you consider that two days is 48 hours and it does take some time to draft the letter and deliver it, and the same to prepare the 8-K and file it. In other words LESS than 48 hours.
I know we are all anticipating the IDMC report by the 30th. If we do not get it the shorts will infest this board with their bullshit, and that's ok, it's their JOB. I just don't want to read a bunch of supposed longs whinning about management bla, bla, bla. The report will be here soon enough.
You guys KNOW what the settlement news is, the market knows as well. It happened, whether there is a PR or not, it happened. And getting the PR today or two days from now will make little difference in the end. Personally I think, why waste good PR on bad market days. Wait for the brexit news to be old news.
No news on the settlement or interim today is good news. Lets wait for the Brexit news to sink in and become old news before we shoot our ammo. We don't want any outside factors to temper the markets response.
Picked up another 2500 shares at 1.96 this am. Tried doing this yesterday but the power in my neighborhood went off just as I was finalizing my buy order. Power did not come back until 5 pm and I learned then I had missed my purchase. Brexit gave me another chance today.
shorties don't know whether to throw in the towel and just cover, or delay buying in hoping for a miracle. Do I lose money today or do I lose money tomorrow.....decisions, decisions.
The devil's greatest trick was to convince the world it did not exist. As far as the immune system is concern, cancer is the devil.
gremlins, I think you hit the nail on the head. A go to completion de-risks NeuVax and places big pressure on Roche to step in at any price or risk losing Herceptin and Neuvax to any other competitor. We need a bidding war. Will be hard for GALE to remain independent but lets not settle for a penny less than it's true potential.
ready to make a new 52 week high. The closer we get to the end of June, the more pressure the shorts will feel to cover.
