  • Visited local Publix at 8pm on a Sunday.....had to ask grocery manager to go find the CF Coke Zero in the back room. He talked about how service is awful and has been for some time now that sales and ops are separated. He tells the Sales rep Acct Mgr to send over the Merchandising Supv Mgr and it never happens. Shelf and end cap had all sorts of holes with missing flavors. Space to sales principles are not applied and no adjustments for ad feature activity or use of incremental displays to prevent out of stocks even after second pulls....does anyone left at CCR even know what a second pull is ? Bad Merchandising will ruin an ambitious and unrealistic business plan. Execution matters and CCR doesn't have it..

  • The current CEO of GM has admitted the past leadership of Ubama Motors did a poor job investigating the deaths of hard working Americans due to faulty union made cars. I guess Ubama was afraid the stock would really tank if they admitted the cars had issues while the government was selling their stock at a loss. Another cover up from the leftist liberals no different than Harry Reid claiming Ubama Care isn't having problems.

no wonder unions are in decline, Americans can see unions as the source of lies fabrications and exaggerations and are of no real added value in the workplace. Just ask the men and women at VW how they feel.

Do you have a smear campaign against the unionized grocers working their employees on Thanksgiving ?

  • courage_and_truth courage_and_truth Nov 14, 2013 5:13 PM Flag

WMT pays more in taxes than unionzed retailers ? Why shouldn't WMT take advantage of the public assistance benefits it is paying for. Refresh reader memories...are you the guy/gal who couldn't keep a job as a postal worker or ????.....of course WMT is the largest group, they are the single largest employer in many states....on a % basis, WMT workers are lower users of benefits than other retailers like Aldi, and even unionized grocery stores have countless workers on the tax payer dole. Do you have a smear campaigin against them ?

  • courage_and_truth courage_and_truth Nov 14, 2013 5:09 PM Flag

Comparing a tech company like Google to WMT is pretty ignorant. But hey, it is just who you are.
What is Google margin vs sales ? What is WMT margin vs sales ? What is Google cost of labor as % of Gross PRofit and same for WMT ?

  • courage_and_truth courage_and_truth Nov 14, 2013 5:01 PM Flag

Again, yours is a say at least half are on some kind of assistance...time and time again the data from unionite basherworld has shown about 10-12% of WMT workers use state medical programs, and other retailers like Aldi the number is north of you have a smear campaign against Aldi, or any of the unionized grocers Kroger, Safeway, WinnDixie which significant numbers of employees use public assistance benefits.

Or are you still just a hypocrite, unchanged over the past ten years in your bashing of WMT ?

  • courage_and_truth courage_and_truth Nov 14, 2013 4:59 PM Flag

Yours is quite the lie again....WMT wages are better than most retailers......WMT benefits are better than most retailers.......WMT is the LARGEST supporter of Welfare to Work programs in most states providing a working model for first time workers to learn core life skills related to work. Your other comment indicating like the rest of America does...there are 40million or more Americans earning wages similar or less than WMT.....'

You really don't have a clue about the facts of wages, benefits, or welfare....aren't you the guy who has an oil lube shop of some kind....what do you pay your people.....does everyone make over $22 per hour ?

  • with only 100K people enrolled in first month, and 30,900,000 to go, it will take about 25 YEARS to get everyone enrolled in their free UbamaCare program....that is why I love it when government gets involved in day to day enterprise activities, they do it seamlessly and flawlessly at a level of quality which only the post office could appreciate.

36 states with 27,000 enrollees is just awful, pathetic. The 14 remaining states who rejected UbamaCare systems had double plus the enrollment rates.

Leave the Federal government out of the process and double the effectiveness and any of you soclialist leftist psuedo communist liberals understand the real meaning of that or do you lack real world business expierence of any kind and only know how to live of the teat of government entitlements ?

The only thing worse than your genuine ignorance is your belief you are doing the world a favor. You are a classic leftist socialist food #$%$. Have you identified a single human health issues related to NORMAL levels of consumption of phosphoric acid found in Coca-Cola ? Why don't you impress readers with what you think you know about HFCS ?

Whien and where did I say WMT was lower than Aldi in Ohio ?.....and you really want to make an issue of 28 vs you have a smear campaign against Aldi which is 3% less than your smear campaign against WMT ?......oh, that's right, Aldi is not an American company you can post messages on this or any other yahoo stock forum.

Be sure to look at WMT and Aldi for Missouri data. You might learn something.

WMT pay and benefits are better than most retailers. And certainly better than most mom and pop type stores one of your unionite brethren posted about earlier. Retail has NEVER been a high value career choice....unless you were the owner.

But hey, you've never been the owner, much less the employee of anything significnat or meaningful..have you ? Yet somehow you feel qualified to tell WMT how to run their shop. Why don't you use your business smarts and prove WMT wrong. You know, raise some capital, set up a distribution system and start your own chain of stores with higher prices and higher wages and see what that does for you !!!!

WOW...sixty years ago the underclass blacks were left out of the economy in almost every state of the union.
Sixty years ago women were NOT a significant portion of the skilled or unskilled workforce.
Sixty years ago most families had one car...or less.
Sixty years ago, families had black and white tv's, if they had one.
Sixty years ago there was no OSHA, no EPA, no EEOC,
SIxty years ago the drop out rate was less than 10% in most large cities.
SIxty years ago energy costs were 1/5 per capita what they are today inflation adjusted
Sixty years ago medical care cost per capita was 1/10 what it is today inflation adjusted
Sixty years ago we exported to an undeveloped world.

And more than anything, even sixty years ago, the wages paid by automakers were completely out of synch with the prevailing wage of the time and that is what helped drive the American auto industry to bankruptcy !!! AMC is GONE, Chrysler went broke and was bailed out (and fully repaid), GM was bailed out and WILL NEVER REPAY. Ford is the only stand up automaker we have and even they say the current business model is not sustainable.

Yeah, your socialist labor secretary of the communist persuasion really knows what he is talking about. He wants to go back in time...yeah, that's the solution.

You are quite a liar given you've been around long enough to know there are several states which Aldi and other retailers have higher % of employees using public assistance than WMT. But hey, you've never been one to rely on facts for your decision making which explains the terrible circumstance you currenlty find yourself.

Is Saint Consulting Group helping Obama conduct a fake anti gun campaign same as they helped retailers create fake opposition to WMT ? Saint Consulting Group has a track record of creating fake opposition and this fake gun control plan looks very similar to what they've done in the past.

Typical leftist liberal and socialist campaign based on lies fabrications, and exaggerations.

No wonder the attacks on WMT are going nowhere. Most Americans can easily spot a liar and quickly discard the false claims coming from the unionites and the bashers attacking WMT.

Your ignorance is underwhelming....I will try to take you rambling and wandering material and address in more coherent themes.

Mortgage melt down was generally attributed to the liberal programs of loaning money to people who could not pay it back, overseen by Barnie Franke. The re insurance of mortgage backed securities played a part, but the underlying problem was bad loans to people who could not afford in the LONG run.

Average Americans have always struggled to pay for college. At one point in time, college attendance was about 20-25% of high school graduates....what is it now ?

The reality is big banks deal with big business which can fend for themselves. The economy is driven by small businesses which government needs leave alone.

You claim I am dishonest ? Name any statement I commonly listed which you have reasonable and compelling evidence to support is a lie.... In case you lost track of the major issues...

WMT pay and benefits are as good or better than most retailers. How is that a lie ?

WMT attracts millions of workers offering higher pay and better benefits than their previous employers offered. Do you really think people are leaving higher paying jobs with better benefits to work at WMT ?

WMT saves shopping families thousands of dollars per year directly and indirectly due to lower cost goods. How is that a bad thing ?

Unionized grocers have closed countless stores and lost hundreds of thousand dues paying members as WMT expanded grocery operations.

WMT builds stores in communities ignored by unionized retailers like Kroger, Safeway, and others.

There is no consistent proof WMT causes job losses in communities. Even your fellow unionites have provided evidence from Chicago indicating no lost jobs in their study of new WMT stores.

Manufacturers of electronics, shoes, clothes, toys, housewares, or any other consumer item moved offshore DECADES before WMT was a force in retailing....why...mostly due to the burden placed on manufacturers by selfish and greedy unions who acted like parasites against their employers.

Did I miss anything for you ?

Your statements reflect a level of ignorance which indicates you don't know what you are talking about. First, true Welfare payments are reduced by wages earned above a very nominal level. Hence the states seek WMT help and support in Welfare to Work programs which are self funding to the state in the long run.

Mortgage deduction is still a subsidy which actually helps banks charge higher rates offset by the deduction. Tell me how owners of $1,000,000 and $500,000 homes need help ? Why not rent instead of own ? Auto ownership is good for the economy, why did interest deduction on autos get taken away ?.....WMT is also following a law by the way and remember, WMT wages and benefits are better than most retailers.

Besides, WMT pays BILLIONS of dollars in state and federal taxes while many of the unionized grocers pay little or no taxes. Do you have any smear campaigns against unionized stores with employees using state or federal programs ? There are plenty of them, and don't forget in some states, Aldi has double the % of employees using public assistance programs than WMT.

But hey don't let your ignorance of the facts interfere with your miguided smear campaign.

Don't you cost taxpayers money via mortgage interest deduction ?

Don't you cost taxpayers money since you use highways, roads, or even public transportation ?

I don't think you cost taxpayers any school or education related funds because clearly you didn't attend a meaningful school.

So you think anyone earning $20K a year should spend $4000 a year on auto payments ? I guess that makes $10 an hour a livable wage.
