Not how autos work. Companies have to idiot proof autos, been that way for a long time.
Auto pilot is like danging a toy in front of a child. The idiots will play with it and not in the way you intend.
Same problem that has been around forever. Storage. Want to pay $1 a KWH for electric and solar might work with batteries but you will be sending the poor back to the stone age. They can't afford that.
Like I said there is always a problem with solar, every single scheme.
What happens in the Southeast when a hurricane comes up the coast dropping rain for days at a time? You could say that can be handled with a grid management system, getting power from other states unaffected. That doesn't exist now either and there is no plan for that. Line losses would be huge as well sending power that far. Another problem to be worked out.
The whole plan isn't going to work in my life time. Trying to do it now by force from the government will crush the poor and lower spending by the middle class because their power bills will be so high.
The solar people can do whatever they like but the government should not be pushing it on the people which is what they are trying to do.
I do have some people I know in Orlando, not corporate types but people who know what the crowds look like day to day.
Orlando in general is having a slow year. Big question is will Disney just equal those cuts or will Disney have much bigger cuts in attendance signaling a problem. ? I think the Latter.
Universal has also been on a building binge. New hotels, attractions and a on site water park opening next year. Universal is going to put pressure on Disney in Orlando. I think they are already pressuring Disney. Last time I was at Universal I saw many people with magic bands on, Disney crowd wandering down the street to Universal. Many of them.
88% is great in the hotel world. 100% is impossible to do.
The problem is the pricing for off property people. The lower classes have been priced out of Disney and foreigners make up a larger and larger crowd at Disney. Problem there is the foreign crowd is very much based on which way the US dollar goes. Brazil comes to mind. Many Brazilians have been going to Disney lately.
Watch, the problem is the unknown resale value of the Tesla going forward. It's not like other cars or boats or anything that. You can park a car for 6 months or years and not use it. A Tesla has a shelf life. Someone will need a new battery soon, how much will that be? What's a Tesla with an almost bad battery worth?
That will all be sorted out but many people don't want to risk $100K being the first guy.
Lucky on the house but it isn't worth any more then a place to live till you sell it. Can't take it to the grave.
The Model S/X sales will be lower because of the Model 3 coming out soon.
Again Tesla's are toys, the S/X are expensive toys. Why pay close to $100K when a cheap one that is basically the same cool factor coming out in a short while?
I thought about buying an S just for the fun of it but a little to much money to possible throw away. $35-40K on a toy? Sure, I will probably buy one if I don't have to wait long.
A rich moron.
Keep on buying the dips, some day many years from now you will get your averaged costed profit. My time frame for a return is much shorter and Disney has short written all over it.
Sentiment: Strong Sell
Tesla is buying SCTY which according to Elon with be cash flow positive and the Giga factory is about to turn out batteries like there is no tomorrow. Solves the cash problem allowing the Model 3 to come up and that's the product that will change the world selling in mass market numbers making Tesla untold money.
Wow. There are people who believe that.
Same crowd that thinks you will be able to put a solar panel on the roof of a car to drive it around as much as you like on all solar power. When parked it will always be charging up the batteries. Another year two for that to come out and it will be self driving thanks to Tesla.
Super Nova coming up in the EV world.
Sentiment: Strong Sell
Disney up the prices and has been for years now. A tiered price system was supposed to cut down on crowds so guests had a better experience.
From what I have seen Disney has been successful in driving away crowds this summer and in the first quarter. Black out dates have been canceled in the fall, that means Disney needs to fill rooms.
One dud movie, falling attendance at their biggest park and ESPN in decline. Add to that a most likely recession showing up in the US soon.
Might want to get out now.
Sentiment: Strong Sell
Didn't watch the video but I can say I saw the SpaceX rocket that landed on the barge. It was in Port Carnival a few weeks ago. Know idea how they landed it on a barge in the ocean?
No way can you make it from Boston to Orlando in 12 hours with a tesla. The recharge time alone would make that impossible.
The Mercedes won't let you use the night vision feature if you have the headlights off? What's the point? Tesla is a much more fun auto company.
SCTY is supposed to be cash flow positive in 2 quarters or something like that? That's where the cash will come from?
This thing will go super nova sometime in the future, when exactly I don't know. LOL.
