So what is the final price? 86.5 or $78? The agreement
is still 86.5and this is the price sndk shareholders agree to.
phennes, do you think the technology and ip Gilbert bought is any good? I think Gilbert is a smart techie guy but now I'm doubting him. The investments he made hasn't paid off and for sure, he overpaid.
Adobe will find out that once customers switch, its hard to get those customers back. Look at corel and quark. They used to be the heavyweights and screw their customers over. Well, now their pricing and customer service is way better than adobe & everyone is switching to them. Even with adbe new lower subscription price and 3 year commitment at the lower price, people are skeptical.
Doesnt' matter. When you subscribe to CC, you're giving Adobe access to your personal computer. They can secretly data mine your computer and track what you're doing on your computer.
With cloud service, you are giving Adobe and the whole wide world access to your files and personal information. If you read the fine print, Adobe is not responsible for lost files, personal file or information being stolen, your computer getting hacked and infected and you have to do a clean install, etc..
I may be wrong but I don't think computer security is ready for cloud computing.
Whatever app facebook is trying to bring to the smartphone, just make sure it is fast and secure and people will come. facebook home for smartphone shoule be like the google search page for smartphone. Don't be like yahoo homepage wheres theres so much stuff going on and so much adobe codes on the site that slow down the site and drain memory and battery life.
And they're off to a great start with their customer service. On the adobe website, some rep answered a myth with a myth. The presume myth was that price will rise once you're sign on. Not true they say. One of their reason was that competition will drive down prices so rate will decrease not rise. I started thinking if they're so sure monthly rate will decrease in the future, wouldn't they be offering some sort of plan to hedge for the lower rate? For example 5 year plan at $20 a month. So if rate decrease to $15 a month, they would be in the black. Of course theres a 1% chance rate will decrease and 99% it will rise so why bother hedging.
The other answer they have to a consumer question was monthly payment is the wave of the future. Get used to it, They said you pay your rent monthly, cable bills monthly, monthly lease on your car, house etc.. so why is what they're doing such a concern?
Nobody can make me stay updated. I will continue to use my 2008 photoshop program. Stupid company is trying to hold their customers hostage by using cloud.
Why would I want to sell my product through Amazon?. Seems to me my product would be more visible to a consumer if I go with Best buy. You add a knowledgeable sales rep and its a guarantee my product would sell quicker on Best buy than Amazon.
The low price could mean something else. Maybe CHK have potential to tap into China's shale land. Maybe CHK can export nat gas to china at a higher price. But I don't know, these analysts are suppose to be smart and read all the details before saying CHK sold at a huge discount and theres liquidity problem..
Its really odd but when I was holding CREE and watching PEGA, CREE didn't move much and went down but PEGA was active and shot up 7 points in a day one time. But now I am holding PEGA and watching CREE. Today CREE is +7 and I am down 2 points holding PEGA.
