Cook will be wheelin and dealin.
That's exactly what they said for a year about China once they made a deal with China Mobile. They spent the entire year saying how poor the Chinese were and couldn't afford the iPhone. Then 3/4 G was available and the iPhone exploded.
Apple is going to receive a "state of the art" exception to open stores. Foxconn is going to open a 10 billion dollar manuf. plant in India and 50% of Indians have never heard of Apple. The $299 apple iPhone can easily do 10 million in sales in India alone where apple's footprint is around 5% now.
You couldn't make this stuff up.
It's truly revolutionary
Installment plan. Doesn't know if this is coming to America.
Apple needed a diplomat and a guy who could procure hundreds of millions of devices in a timely fashion. The only question is if Jony Ive can innovate without bouncing ideas off Jobs. I think he can and he will.
Apple's main problem will be keeping up with demand for their phones.
A perfect example of the power of the apple pay platform.
The Uber platform is unsustainable absent one of the big players. Alphabet has set its sights on its own ride sharing method. Let's see of apple makes a deal with Uber.
You did it again.
You just have to laugh
They refuse to get that apple has 4 platforms now, each of which has an opportunity to service their owners. The watch will serve fitness and health, the Tv will have a skinny bundle as well as apps and game systems, the iPad will become an e-commerce monster with apple pay and the phone will be the swiss army knife doing it all.
I have news for him. His assertion google has a monopoly on search is not true because google relies on the iPhone and iPad for the majority of its searches that translate to sales for advertisers. When apple blows that up google loses its most imp't and lucrative advantage.
I'm thinking increase stake. Imagine a fleet of millions of Didi Apple electric cars running IOS. Same with India's fleet of cars.these are two markets befitting apple's car ambition.
People don't realize how apple has built a juggernaut of subscribers on the back of the incredible 6 iPhones. All they see is the 6s not meeting expectations but that had to happen given the success of the 6. Now they can go on the offense just as the hedge funds have thrown in the towel. The lesson is never follow hedge funds because they use other people's money and when that runs low they must sell liquid stocks like apple not because they want to but because they have to.
I hope I don't come off as arrogant because believe me I am anything but. However I have all my investing eggs in apple's basket after 40 years of investing. It s not something I recommend anyone doing and is rife with risk. That's why I scour every source every day including several services like CML dedicated in a large measure to apple. Apple is very misunderstood especially when they refer to it as a one product company. They are so so so much more as I have tried to enumerate. The biggest thing is the 600 million subs and 1 billion devices that have many ways to be monetized with services.
A very nice boost and its of breathing room until the next big thing.
When the news goes viral we'll get another leg up.
I know that. There isn't a single story on apple I don't know about. Apple has not officially been given the green light to build stores in India until today's report. They have to be in a special class for "state of the art technology" and it appears they have received it.
