My wife and I like about 4 cups of coffee a day. After I found out that McDonalds provides $.5/cup and even some places $.25/ cup for senior citizens. I get to McDonalds more often.
For good coffee, my wife likes Peets. And I think McDonalds if pretty fair coffee.
We ship about 3 pounds a month of Peets to UK for our daughter, who is a student over there.
I would suspect if you ever took a chemistry class, you would understand that to add milk of cream to coffee, the total volume expands. Thus they left you enough space for1/4 cup of 'cream'.
I'm sure if you explained that you only wanted 1 oz of cream they would have provided you with more coffee.
I'm not sure why you are reporting this to the whole starbucks world on yahoo.
I personally don’t know how much profit SBUX will bring home from China. I know they will need to be open with the regulators in China. They won’t be able to do as the did in the UK.
It is pretty difficult to take dollars out of China, companies need to be very creative to bring the cash back home
I also know it will take a lot of patience.
SBUX has had a remakrkable run from the $7/share in 2008. Almost a 10 bagger.
It reached $40 in2006 then dropped to $7 in 2008. I don’t have the patience for another bubble.
I have no idea how high this can go, but from all appearances it is in another bubble.
I’m out. I enjoyed the run in PEETS, but now it’s time for a coffee break!!!
Campbell has an incredibly high PEG 3.
So if our economy is going to continue strongly in the foreseeable future, this is a stock to hold on to.
But if not it is appearing risky.
I'm concerned that Apple is about to make a huge mistake in judgment. I doubt Steve Jobs would have been so anxious to give the cash away. Borrowing is going to get more expensive.
Apple may have been a giant slayer in the past. But they have woken the sleeping giant. Microsoft..
Forget about Samsung, HTC, and other toy manufactures. .Microsoft is pouring big bucks into the cloud development. The BIG KAHUNA!
Not just little appliances to plug into the Cloud.
The new Surface Pro is an impressive device. It is more powerful than most desk tops that people are using. I think it is a big mistake in assuming that Microsoft will just trip over themselves again. Granted, Microsoft did give away a lot of their cash a few years ago. But I don’t think they are going to do that now.
Apple is going to get beat up on many fronts if they don't have the cash to intelligently confront the competition.
My guess is that if Apple gives it's cash away they will be back in the same boat they were in prior to Steve Jobs taking the reigns.
I think some of the instituions that own APPL want some of their cash back. When they get the cash, they will bail out.
