I'll bury this down here so other won't be offended by it's content . Gas will prevail because of lower carbon emissions. I tend to believe in number 2 no pun intended. That puts CHK at an advantage being over 70% Nat Gas and could easily raise that to whatever they like begs the question that Big Oil may be looking for a change. Why CHK.. ? They Have the core in most areas. The end users are right next to the supply and The Marcellus and Utica are a 3 and 4 layer cake in that area. CHK is being prepped for a sale.. Now here is the downside .If the SEC goes down that route the whole industry will be shaken down and CHK will feel it even though they will come out ahead in the end for the reasons I mentioned.
Many have speculated ..Best way to look at it is the amount of acreage and average out a price per, then deduct debt. Some acreage is valuable other not so. The just gave away acreage. My guess would be in the 4 to 5 thousand an acre range.
TOBYHANNA TOWNSHIP -- Some buses in the Poconos don't look any different from your typical diesel school bus. But if you take a closer look, you'll see that these buses run on propane.
The Pocono Mountain School District purchased 25 of these environmentally friendly rides.
"They perform much better. They are efficient, they have lower maintenance cost and are very good for our environment," said Donald Kunkel, Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor.
Propane buses produce less carbon dioxide than the diesel buses the district normally uses.
The buses will be used to take students to and from the Pocono Mountain West Campus, near Mount Pocono.
"We cover 305 square miles and we put on approx. 3.5 million miles per year. We will save from this significantly. The maintenance costs once again are huge. We eliminate all emissions components. We will save over 40 percent just in fuel compared to diesel -- there is a big savings to be made," said Kunkel.
A nice part about these buses is that you can barely hear them. Also, the fumes are a lot cleaner than diesel.
"You won't see any black smoke coming out of these. Propane burns very clean," said Kunkel.
The district only paid $3,000 more per bus than it normally would for a diesel bus. But, it expects to see a savings return within one year.
The hope is to add more propane buses as the older diesel fleet ages.
A propane fueling station is also slated to be built at Pocono Mountain West this fall.

Solar read before you respond.. I said "they" fought for gas to the NE years ago..They meaning drillers... The NE had Higher prices..

The Utica is what I said...They have a deal etched in stone..
The Utica Gas goes South that CHK produces for the most part. Funny how things switch. Years before that they fought to get a pipeline going to the NE for heating season. Now it seems with more electric being generated by gas and the south having a longer cooling season with it getting warmer and staying warmer these days guess who's gas get used. Add into that Sabine Pass and that they have 3 more stages to complete and you're looking at huge growth with the number 2 producer in the US who's stock price is 6.50.
CHK pipes most of the Utica south. There was a big fuss over them doing that yrs ago. Another Company pipes it to Canada. Soon it will be going to Japan.
Would be very interested in hearing that.
The next 2 or 3 reports will be the catalysts.. The NE has cooled down so the build should reflect that. If they keep getting low builds in Sept you can bet on Nat gas flying no matter what the winter will be . Sabine Pass will be down ,ect.. Finally depletion takes a big step down..
