Stupid yahoo changed to message boards so it isn't easy to get back here. I get here on my iPhone but not when I use the same link using FireFox on my laptop. Try IHub.

    They are too stupid and too filled with hopium to realize that their only real options are to sell or to play options. One poster actually claims to be buying more PPHM day after day. It is the idiot with the FUD mantra at the bottom of all his posts.

    Post #3 of mine that was deleted. Apparently, the post of mine discussing my largest 4 holdings (MDVN, PGNX, MNTA and EXEL) upset the pumper called geocappy, so he posted this gem.
So with all that action going on with your 4 stocks, why are you wasting your time on the pphm board? There should be plenty to talk about In those message boards.
Why do you care where I post? I don't feel I am wasting time when I give my opinion on boards of stock where I have no financial interest, especially in places where the dialog has been far too one-sided and biased. As I said before, part of it is altruistic. I post on boards of stocks I own when I feel I can make a contribution, or have something I feel should be said, especially to counter misinformation. The PGNX board is one where I posted the most, other than ONXX.

    Post # 2 of mine that was deleted. Cloaked Protector was attempting to dismiss how poorly PPHM performed by saying that was the way of biotech investing. I responded that many biotech stocks make money for their investors. Apparently, this displeased CP so he replied
vinmantoo, that is a gratuit statement. Provide us with a list with MANY companies where this is the case in Biotechnology.
CP, I will show you from my own portfolio. These are my top 4 holdings in dollar terms, from highest to lowest.

    1. MDVN is my top holding. MDVN stock is up 61% over the past 6 months. Several companies appear interested in buying MDVN so there may still be more upside. I sold 10% of may shares when it broke $60 MDVN also has a new drug in phase III trials, a PARP inhibitor which looks very promising so I am not sure if I want a buy out but I wouldn't complain.

    2. PGNX is second and is up 26% over the past 6 months. After the close today, PGNX recived FDA approval of the Oral Formulation of its drug Relistor. PGNX is now at a $345 million market cap and will receive a $50 million milestone from its partner Valeant for the FDA approval. The market for Relistor is estimated at close to $1 billion, and PGNX gets 15% to 19% of the sales, as well as additional milestones. The price has spiked close to 40% already after hours on heavy trading, so that would make close to a 70% gain over the last 6 months.

    3. MNTA is my loser of the top 4. It is down 13% over the past 6 months. They are involved in a legal battle, which has hurt the stock price.

    4. EXEL rounds out my top 4. It is up 91% over the past 6 moths, and I expect a significantly higher price over the next 6 months to a year as they ramp up sales of their drug Cabo in kidney cancer.

    Is that good enough for you?

    The deleters are in full force. Here is one of three posts of mine they deleted.

    quote]Anyone understand why I'm so disgruntled by Peregrine? I believe bavituximab holds great promise but the board and folks in control.....
md1225, I really feel for you. It is tough to let things go, especially when you had such high hopes. Obviously only you can decide when and how much to take off the table, but the decision is always tough.
    PPHM shareholders deserve to know why management said Bavi+doc performed as expected but Sunrise was derailed by an amazing control arm. What is the basis for that statement? In other words, give the PFS and OS data for Sunrise.

    I keep a lesson in my mind from early in my investment career. I was into a stock called GTCB, which used transgenic goats to make high levels of difficult to produce proteins in their milk. DewDiligence was a big proponent in it as well . There were naysayers, including a poster called jbog, who is still around on Biotech Values and the MNTA board being his usual doubting, negative self. Several posters kept showing article that cell culture techniques had been significantly improving, closing the advantage of GTCB. I suffered reverse splits, and massive amounts of dilution. Management was clueless and incredibly kept spending more as their finances suffered. No cuts to numbers of employees, but the opposite, and highly paid execs who oversaw the stock decline being called invaluable. Does that sound familiar? That was the last straw for Dew and he sold off at a big loss and stated management and finances were the issue. I was down close to 90% at the time. I held on confident of success because the market didn't understand how superior the GTCB approach was but I did. GTCB got their first transgenically produced drug approved and I could have sold off at a profit. Dew still warned about how poor their finances were even after approval as the market size for the drug, rATIII, wouldn't make it profitable

    The funniest was reading that PPHM issued a statement say how valuable their illustrious leader King is and that it would damage the company if he left. Sounds like they are about to give him a big raise for all he has done.

  • dr.vinmantoo dr.vinmantoo Jul 14, 2016 1:12 PM Flag

    So, will PPHM talk more about the new exosome PR than about Sunrise trial data? I say yes.

  • dr.vinmantoo dr.vinmantoo Jul 14, 2016 1:09 PM Flag

    We are curious too. Personally, I don't care about the immediate market reaction. All I care about is getting FDA approval. Good times will follow sooner rather than later.

  • dr.vinmantoo dr.vinmantoo Jul 13, 2016 1:02 PM Flag

    Will they finally give some solid information about the Sunrise results, such as PFS and OS? I say no.

    {{"It's never wrong to take a profit"
    I totally disagree, it's all about risk vs reward, I bought FB at $20, I could have sold at $22. would my reward have justified my risk? Instead I waited until It was above $100, sold the shares and bought a lesser amount of options.}}

    There is a difference between selling all your shares at one point to take a profit, and selling a portion to lock in some gains and as a protection against unexpected news/fluctuations.

    Ram on PGNX Part Two

    {{Did Valeant / PGNX ever detail in any way the concerns that caused the FDA to delay their judgment on Relistor oral? }}.

    As I recall, the Oral Relistor trial data showed good efficacy and appeared as safe or safer than the sub-cutaneous Relistor. Most of us were clearly surprised about the delay so the thought was it was related to paperwork screwups (intentional or not) by Valeant. Several analysts have said as much. As pedmac posted, we won't have long to wait to find out what the hell is going on on with the Oral formulation.

    Ram on PGNX Part Two

    by ramsr14u2 Jun 30, 2016 3:23 PM

    {{I have provided you innumerable facts backing my comments and thesis. You on the other hand offer only buffoonish statements disregarding available facts.}}

    Bwaa, Hhhaa, do you actually believe the garbage you post, or is it an act?

    {{ The bottom line is the market is casting a long pall over this stock. In fact, the price action indicates something dire is about to happen}}

    Right, no outside event or stock market movement has affected PGNX.

    {{Ours is to guess what the market is foretelling. It could well be another PDUFA postponement. It could be a CRL for oral Relistor as a result of some heretofore unknown Valeant misstep.}}

    Nobody knows what the FDA will say, but chances are very good for Oral Relistor approval.

    {{Sales of Relistor may fall another 30% on top of the latest quarter over quarter precipitous 30% fall.}}

    Only a fool focuses on a single quarter without looking at year over year quarter comparisons. Total Relistor sales for 2015 were $43 million, $25 million being recorded in Q4. Valeant had issues with inventory stocking, which have now been corrected. That is why sale recorded were very uneven last year. The Q1 2016 sales of $16 million, which projects to $64 million without any sales growth, a major increase over 2015. The 30% decline which you harp on is an accounting issue not a sales issue.

    {{Valeant might be forced to walk away from PGNX altogether. It could be any or several of these things that Mr. Market is whispering into our ears. }}

    Yes and so what? Relistor is already approved. If Valeant tries to walk away, then they will have to pay PGNX and return Relistor.

    Changing the name of a drug is a common tactic of companies when they try and hide past failure or issues with a drug in development. It makes it harder to look back and track the problematic issues.
