yes, but they don't need to preannounce the call IMO. Just put the CC time in the PR tomorrow morning like they did on June 13
Ranger. my question is, why is the company pre-announcing the CC? That would get everyone's hopes up if/when they announced a fail the next morning. Or they could have waited til Friday, ahead of the 3 day weekend to announce a fail, I think the PR timing suggests positive news.
If data was a complete bust why pre-announce the conference call? Just dump the data after hours or wait til Friday and release the bad news.
Well the company stated in the June 13 trial results call that "their confidence in the pediatric indications remained strong"
Could very well be the case, which is why they didn't release the data earlier as planned initially.
How do you think the market would react to "mixed" data?
Why did they not wait til the last minute on the PH3 fail? They released Monday AM. It's because you are required to disclose material information.
you can't sit on bad data if it's ready to release, that's illegal. Clearly they have been analyzing something, and were working more on it.
I don't think a company can "sit" on bad results. It falls into material disclosure and would have to be released within 3 days I believe.
The only 2 things that make sense are 1. they are still analyzing something from the data or 2. they are embargoed til the July 22nd conference
Any thoughts on how close we are or why is has not come out yet? I know there is a presentation July 22nd, but that was known before the May 2nd quarter update where the company said the data was coming in the upcoming weeks (not middle of 2016, like the other trials). This seemed to suggest the data would have been out before the July 22nd presentation. Thoughts?
