I'll have to correct a few things about what you are saying here.
1) I told you via Seeking Alpha's message system before that I didn't delete your posts and that someone else must have flagged them for removal by the staff. Comments do not get passed by the authors for approval before they are posted.
2) People have called me a complete idiot in the comments for other articles and I haven't tried to get them removed. I am fine with constructive (and even a lot of non-constructive) criticism.
3) In your message to me, you said "I thought you wrote a good piece". If you actually thought it was slop, you should just say so instead of being two-faced about it.
I'll answer that question. Trailing 12 month department store sales (up to October 2013) is $176 billion. It dropped nearly $10 billion over the last 3 years, so another $7 billion drop in 2 years is far from unreasonable.
