TLT holders have lost years of interest in the latest swoon. I guess the bearish words from the bond gurus, aka the "3 G's" Grant, Gundlach & Gross have finally hit home. There is risk in bonds.
1. "Sybil" realized these boards are a waste of time (I did loooooong ago?
2. "Sybil" go a huge margin call so has no skin in the game or any reason to post?
3. "Sybil" moved to another stock message board--stocktwits?
4. "Sybil" had a heart attack or was hit by a bus?
5. Something else
Sybil, wherever you are, good luck.
Correction: bought puts, not "bout"; some "seismologists" say, not "seismoligist". Type too fast.
Looks like Hurr. Matthew could turn west to U.S. coast & cause some major damage. Also bout puts in Everest Re (RE). Also, there has been an earthquake swarm at the south end of San Andreas. Some seismoligist say this could trigger the "Big One"--a 7.5+ that could bring huge damage to populated areas. Hope it doesn't happen, but I live here & am shaky. CI & RE have come a long way. may correct even without a natural disaster like an earthquake or hurricane.
Please name them, Mr. Munger. This whole scandal is amazing and egregious. Not only do the banks pay us almost zero interest on our savings, but they loot the accounts. How could this have gone on for so long. Were there no internal controls? Totally outrageous and scary. People need to go to jail over this, especially managers who knew about it! Until this thing is resolved, I wouldn't tpouch WFC or any other bankstock with a 1000 foot pole.
Sentiment: Strong Sell
Buddy, are you saying that some (or most) of the 5,000+ that were fired were those that REFUSED to cheat by opening fake accounts. More egregious if true.
Remember how out of the blue he sold his stake in N'flix & told everyone after the fact? He bulled it higher in order to sell to the bagholders. Marketing101. Shrewd dude. Good poker player I'm sure.
So why doesn't he buy 35%? What is he afraid of? Why is he tiptoeing in?
Sentiment: Strong Sell
The good people reconvene over there. Active boards. Pros post there.
One thing I find curious is that HLF gave Icahn permission to buy 35%, yet he is still way below that, 23% I think? If it is so great, why not buy 35%?
Unwise to be short oil at this low price in my humble opinion.
