Over the past 6 months I have been gradually liquidating my position in BA. It is beginning to appear that their transition into composite graphite fiber structures has been over ambitious and premature resulting in extensive billions of dollars extra costs. Also I cannot imagine what the major problems with the Tanker Program have been. I do not appreciate the total lack of the Corporation giving us stockholders the details of the problems and "real" estimates of the costs and schedule corrective actions. Something smells bad here.
I bought shares on the $1.00 breakout. HOWEVER Moody's this morning downgraded CVO!!! I used to respect Moody's Buy/Sell recommendations but lately they have not been good. In any case with the risk/reward of CVO being very doubtful. I sold all shares...waiting for a better day.
Agree...Bankruptcy is a potential problem.
1) Wrong product in a digital age
2) Executive salaries much too high (3 Burtons) ~$15 million for a stock $1 billion debt
It is an IMPERATIVE Burton, who has done well in companies prior to CVO, to pull this
company out of a financial nose dive. Good Luck. Until then reduce those executive salaries
to prove intentions.
