Anyways, TSLA should have bot ENPH, could have done it for 10% of the cost of SCTY and not been tied to all the problems wth PPAs... oh, I forgot, Elon is not a majority shareowner in ENPH... how silly of me...

    Tesla buys SCTY

Last thing TSLA needs right now is another cash bleeding company... as the WSJ article points out more and more solar customers are waking up to the pit fall of solar leases and are opting to buy... SCTY has a terrible track record of selling solar (vs leasing it)... I don;t think they can adapt... many of the smaller installers have figured out how to offer low rate financing to the homeowners...

I agree, this is one self serving step too far and will be a terrible distraction for TSLA just when their plate is already overflowing with demands on their time... it is a terrible deal and very bad timing...

    Cheers

Nice bounce off the lower BB... I bot another 1k shares in the low / mid 22's .... wish I had waited for mid 21's but hopefully the Brits stay in and we head on up to the upper BB which should be in the 28ish range...

    Cheers

We need to hold here.... or the up trend will be broken... stock seems pretty weak but I hope we can hold out until the Brit vote which at least the bookies seem to think will be in favor of staying in the EU... if that happens we should see a relief rally... if they vote to exit than this thing will fall a good bit more I suspect...

I posted a graph over on Investorshub that shows Arcam bouncing between the Bollinger Bands over the past year... we are getting pretty close to the bottom band now at high 21s / low 22's so hopefully that support will hold and the uptrend will be intact... I too sold in the high 26's and even got 27 for a bit... but I bought back in too soon at 25... Here should be a good place to reenter with a stop around 21.25... just in case the story did change...or the Brits exit...

BTW, here we are almost thru the 2nd Q and no 3 unit orders or larger.... not yet anyways... Sure would like to see them sell 10 machines a month consistently... someday I suppose...

    Cheers

That was a quick trip to 2.30 and back...looks like we will drift lower as there seems to have been no reason for the run to 2.30...

AH = Amateur Hour... probably someone put in a market order after hours which can really #$%$... not much volume so would not make anything of it...

    ROI

To your point, I was surprised when I went to add more panels to my Enphase system to find it isn't all that much cheaper than the initial install... first they charge me for a full crew for a day no matter the number of panels, second they have to go back thru the permitting process no matter the number of panels...

But one more positive you didn't mention in your ROI computation is that there is one more certainty in life besides Death and Taxes, it is that Utility rates will increase every year no matter the cost of the fossil fuels... Did anyone get a rate decrease this year when Oil and Natural gas prices hit the skids ? I didn't think so... avoiding that 5-7% per year increase will be a big boost to your ROI... I rest my case..

    Cheers

"ROI is important for some people, but there are millions of people who want to be carbon neutral."

I want some of what you are smokin....

They will need to be cost competitive, I hope their technology and installation advantages will offset a 10% difference but much more than that and they are in for a rude awaking...

    Cheers
