I'm just now buying for the 1st time as the Dividend Yields have caught my eye. I'm going to buy BP, COP and RDS-B for an average Dividend Yield of over 6%. I only want the 6% and no loss of long term capital and am confident that I can sell all three equities at a price equal to or higher than the current prices a long time from now, having gotten 6% + along the way. : BP @ 36. COP @ 52. RDS-B at 54.
I have concluded that you will get no less than 6.8% on your money for a very, very long time if you buy right here and that you'll be able to get 55/share for your shares, at bare minimum, 3 years from now and on out.

It will hit $80 or above again but it might take some time. I was all cash until today than loaded back my life savings into RDS/B shares. Bought 6800 yep six thousand eight hundred shares at $63.70 this morning. There down over a dollar plus less than what I paid for then but not concerned cause they will come back in the long run and dividend amounts to 5.9% for what I paid. A great return compared to what banks or paying and what bonds are drawing. Made a lot of money buying and sell Shell shares over the last 30 years.
Like you said, that will all change when ultra-high speed G.fast goes global. You contradict yourself at evey twist and turn. Watching you fumble around and reduce yourself to just a babbling internet moron has been a pleasure. You can outpost anyone here and will always get the last word....but that doesn't mean anything you say is worth a hill of beans. You are no different than a street corner bumb looking for his next person to tell how he knows everything. Have fun holding conversations with yourself via nige/smalls. Goof ball.
He has no clue. Content developers call the shot, not cable pullers like him. LOL. See ya later. Insanity is listening to him repeat the same thing over and over with no result and I'm not into insanity. Happy New Year. !
We get it alright.....you are full of hot air and even you know it. Every scare tactic you've presented was dismantled and you a just here to agitate people. Horrible character trait.
AT&T gave a bone head outside cable tech like yourself a job for 33 years and this is how you thank them? A yearly whine?

Don't get excited about this year's Santa Tracker. It's a repeat of last years show. What a disappointment.
In addition to 4K Ultra HD services, the satellite expands DIRECTV’s capacity for future growth for advanced services via the reverse band spectrum along with spot beam coverage for more local HD.
[Advances Services surely means DTV across all devices, whether you have a dish or don't. DTV will be the TV of choice for millions for a long, long time.]
Gurantee the NFL saw the future roadmap of DTV and was thoroughly impresses before giving DTV EXCLUSIve Sunday Ticket rights for eight more years. We need that G.fast rolled out quickly so more people can take advantage of DTV's offerings.
4K Ultra HD Gets a Lift with Successful DIRECTV Satellite Launch
DIRECTV 14 to Begin Operations in the U.S. in First Half of Next Year; Strengthens Satellite Fleet and Provides Capacity For More Advanced Services
EL SEGUNDO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The future of 4K Ultra HD received a rocket-propelled boost today with the launch of a DIRECTV satellite that will deliver the new standard in TV image quality directly to viewers’ homes in the U.S., along with more HD for local markets and backup for DIRECTV’s existing fleet of six HD satellites.
DIRECTV 14, a nearly seven-ton spacecraft, designed and built by Space Systems/Loral, soared into space following its successful launch today at 12:40 p.m. PT from the European Spaceport in Kourou, French Guiana aboard an Ariane 5 launch vehicle by Arianespace. Controllers at the ground station at Hassan, India made contact with the satellite 28 minutes into the launch and confirmed that all systems are functioning properly.
When the satellite begins operations in early second quarter of next year, it will be the first commercial satellite to use the Reverse Band Direct Broadcast Satellite (DBS) spectrum, providing additional capacity for the delivery of more 4K Ultra HD programming and other advanced services to DIRECTV customers across America including Alaska and Hawaii and Puerto Rico.
“We congratulate the launch team and our partners, Arianespace and SSL, on a picture-perfect launch,” said Phil Goswitz , senior vice president, Space and Communications, DIRECTV. “Today we achieved a significant milestone in the development and future adoption of 4K Ultra HD and ensured our customers will have an entertainment experience that is second to none for many years to come.”
Just wait til you see how many people subscribe to Sunday ticket once they don't need a dish to get it. I've seen countless people complaining about wanting to get it but they can't get DirecTV where they are located - now they won't have to. MILLIONS will sign up for NFL Sunday Ticket now that they don't need a DTV Subscription to do so. Al a Carte NFL Sunday ticket.....and you can only get it from DIRECTV for the NEXT EIGHT YEARS.
Looks like Smalls spent the day trying to agitate people and got kicked around as usual. I'll no longer give him the attention he seeks so badly.
There are MILLIONS of Americans that don't want pay TV, but they would jump ALL OVER NLF streamed over HIGH SPEED BROADBAND. The only way they could get it is through DTV. Bring on that broad band, smalls. Will you hurry that G.fast stuff up, please? DAGGER.
Satellite TV broadcaster DirecTV (NASDAQ:DTV) in October renewed its contract with the NFL to carry out-of-market games on Sunday.
DirecTV will pay an average of $1.5 billion annually in the eight-year NFL Sunday Ticket deal, according to reports. That pact lets DirecTV offer Sunday Ticket on mobile devices and over broadband.
