Rosetta-Your stocks are looking great today! I sold 1/2 my position in EXEL; right or wrong no one knows but a profit is a profit. If there is a dip next week in AQXP I will re-enter.
Me too. Nice move the last 5 days. I had to get back in AQXP and CHASE it. I sold too early but got back on the dip today and sold again. I will play it again next week. Most bios are on a run so will play until they settle down.
Did anyone read the article by Adam Shell yesterday in USA Today? "Confusion is name of game on Wall Street". I agree with most of it; especially the part about many investors have been forced into stocks and the valuations are above average relative to history because there is nowhere else to park your money for a return. Many have no idea what they are doing or what they even own. Most in SGEN are not in that category though as they are not the average investor. If rates rise too fast panic selling is the risk per the article. I will not change my way of trading but like to take profits when I can and move on because a crash comes around on the average of 5-7 yrs. from the highs. GLTA
Nice going. I love it when these bio stocks tank and you can buy below the Baker's. It's usually a safe bet if you know when to sell. You are safe with your ACAD since you bought so cheap. Good Luck on that one too. I'm tempted to buy GILD again. Might see if it goes lower next week.
If you like the stocks Baker's are buying and want to pay less than their purchase check out AQXP. JNJ and PFE both sold their shares at a much higher price while the Baker's have been adding. Look at insider trades and buy for 1/2 the price. Get out with profits or ???.
PFE and JNJ both sold out of this stock. Baker Bros keep buying and losing money. They paid $15.50-10.00-9.00-8.00-7.00 and now it's in the six dollar range. They may have made some money on ANAC but lost on several other bio stocks. They bought SGEN in the mid 40's but also own some lower. That one may be okay but they have sold out of several losers. Win some, lose some so best to day trade and take profits because as you can see with this stock; it's all a big gamble.
PE is still high at 36. I'd wait for another pullback after Barron's said earnings are decreasing in their latest article.
