Your really smoking something. EVOK made a great run and it was clearly time to take gains, hopefully before this announcement.
    Good luck
PS You can now load up for 2.50............Hard to know where this settles, this may be a good entry point.

I could not basically do anything part time, I would be lucky to break even. Your return is really good for part time.

I have done well with it today, in the Pre-M and in the Reg Sess., bought some at 8.01 in the Pre-M and sold them and then bought back in after the open at 8.06. Have been buying and selling since then. Did get short at 12.24, but covered way too soon, got nervous..........LOL
I will do a little bragging for on 4 of the 7 months of this year, I am up each month substantially in excess of 15% and still up but less than 15% in the other 3 months. This is on all accounts..............been a very good year, so far............% wise best since 2002-2003..............
    Good luck

It did pop based on his adding it, but his come in somewhat. Now if he bought it himself and touts it on CNBC, that could cause another spike. I would note that he is only up 15% on his model portfolio for the year. Probably not bad for that silly contest, but not very good in real life...........
    Good luck
PS For the dark side of bios, look at MCRB this AM, been a really good trade from around 8.00 upwards, but a disaster if one held it prior to today.

    Game over?

Obviously Orbimed thinks it is game over and they would have complete knowledge of any other bios having expressed any prior interest. A bid could come out of the blue, but one would have to now think it highly unlikely.
    Good luck

As a wonderful example of analysts one needs to look at EXAS. Now I have mentioned EXAS previously, it is a really strong biotech that has been on a great run since mid-May. My wife's IRA has luckily held it since earlier in the year and has done much better with it than even with RLYP, but that is a digression. Yesterday morning before the open, Jefferies, Canaccord & Craig- Hallum all came out with significantly higher price targets. After the close, EXAS announced a secondary, led by Jefferies, Baird and Canaccord!! I do hope C-H was also taken care off but they were not one of the three book managers. You got to love Wall Street and sell side analysts.
EXAS tanked in the AH Session yesterday and early this AM, which proved to be a great buying opportunity for it is closing up for the day. This continued a recent trend where strong bios quickly move higher from the secondary pricing.
    Good luck

If they liquidate the rest of their position it would clearly be game over. Selling 1/2 and holding 1/2 is hedging one's bets...........usually owners liquidate all that they plan to sell in time to make one filing. We shall see if another filing comes soon.

    Lurker:
Unless I am reading their filings incorrectly, which is always a possibility, they only sold about 1/2 of their holdings......that would be somewhat prudent, but not dispositive about a higher bidder emerging in the future..........
    Good luck

Another possibility is that the traders at her firm, assuming the shares were bought for the firm's account, know what an idiot she is.........

What price do you think MDVN gets bought out for? I really am a little concerned about bios. There will be a significant sell-off if the Dems win. I also trade EXAS most days and have done a couple of GILD trades this AM. EXAS has been strong, of late.........Of course, as a trader, my opinion of stocks can change faster than a speeding bullet.

I basically agree with you on RLYP, but given the real lack of downside, even a small chance of another bidder is worth holding shares at these levels. As I said, I would not put new money to work in RLYP, at these levels. My interest in ACAD is as a trading stock. I have no interest in buying and holding it. However, it does make outsize moves on a daily basis. Trading GILD in the AH Sesssion. I think it might test its recent low tomorrow. Be interesting to see how it impacts the IBB, which is also weaker in the AH Sess. CELG is also looking lower, bios might be fun tomorrow.
    Good luck

There is a legitimate scientific argument (part of Berens and others' thesis) that Veltassa and ZS-9 are actually aimed at different portions of the market and that their CRL really should not impact RLYP's valuation. One has to also remember that they also had other drugs in early stages of their pipeline which impacted their valuation and lastly the valuations of bios have contracted since then.
    Good luck

Whatever TWIT, that is the appropriate response to your silliness. It does seem I attached this to the wrong spot earlier, so I deleted that post (first time I deleted a post in almost 20 years) and now correctly put it here...........

I ran out of space on this. I would have just added that I think the price action, especially on Friday was a function of the large number of options being purchased and the continued covering of shorts. I do not do options, but I see the lottery ticket value of September or later options, I think the August ones are too short dated, but I could very well be wrong. Since I expect the pps to slowly subside, a future move over 32.00 would be more of a tell.
    Good luck

  • Over the last few days, many on this board have been extolling the possibility of a second bidder or even a bidding war quickly erupting over RLYP and the wisdom of buying shares or options at this price. Let me try to outline the contra-argument. Let me be clear, I still own all of the shares in my wife's IRA and more than 1/2 of the large amount of shares I bought on the morning of the announcement at 31.00. Given the very limited downside, I think it is prudent to hold shares bought at lower prices in the hope of further upside, I just would not add right now at these levels.
Biotechs are customarily valued at 3 times projected peak sales. Royalties, cash on hand, tax losses and other things are usually not germane to the valuation calculations. Let us face it, almost all of this size biotechs have NOL's. Therefore, Galencia's bid at 32.00 per share translates into peak sales of Veltassa of around 500 million (due to all of the option grants, the exact number of RLYP shares to be bought is probably only known by RLYP and now by Galencia).
So far, the roll out of Veltassa has been slower and more costly than first anticipated. The real size of its addressable market is still a big unknown as is the timing of determining the true market size. Is it going to really be more than 500 million, it very well could be, but who knows?
Things take much longer than anyone first realizes. Most analysts and investors underestimate the time that something will take. It is hard to really believe that a second bidder can emerge in the coming few days.
Given the lack of any financing contingencies and the likelihood of a quick Hart-Scott- Rodino approval, the deal could possible close in late September or early 4th quarter. I would think if a bidder was to emerge, it would be very close to the end of that process. I just do not see much happening before then. Now of course, I thought a deal could not get done to later this year, so what do i know?..........LOL
    Good luck

One life lesson i learned long ago was that people who really had money did not need to and should not make fun of or belittle another's monetary situation. You belittled antonionjr93 and his trade, not me or mine. You were and are ignorant about my trades and calls. Yes it is hard for me to imagine you specifically really sneezing at 1700.00. A Twit needs to build himself up by making fun of another and therefore thinks it makes him appear a big man.
    Goodbye TWIT
