What's a better buy HCLP or EMES?

Yes. Except it appears the crude price is high enough to sell sand.... already. Big inventory of drilled holes waiting on fracing.

    Cramer says no today

Yea, a dividend announcement would be just the ticket. Funny how much difference a day can make. So is the pop due to the market bounce or is it the GE okkie-dookie-thumbs-up from the feds?
Someone had suggested that needed to happen before SYF could initiate a dividend. Seems plausible.

Right. Go with your gut. Bought some stuff a dime off the bottom yesterday and I doubt any talking head would have suggested it. Cramer is probably still sitting on the fence. I make a point of ignoring him when times present opportunities. Don't know about SYF. It got a bounce but it feels like we need another round of earnings to feed the shorts their shorts. A dividend announcement would chase them away.

What... and let fundamentals price stocks? There would never be buying ops and the market would be a really boring place. I'd lose interest entirely.

I suppose the jury is still out on this Brexit mess but obviously the fat lady got gagged and bound and the big players want to short folks out of their margin stocks. And look at the almost-anemic volume in the good stuff that's been slammed. Nothing is more fun then buying stock that's been borrowed.....

OK! I'm in! I looked at all the programming and especially the advertisers and concluded this is not a value trap but is actually just an understated and misunderstood dump job, ripe for a Brexit pick. Funds can dump more, I can buy more. Just wishing everyone a happy landing because Heathrow is probably still open and I think Buckingham Palace (or Windsor) should get a sitcom. That would certainly ruffle feathers as much as Preacher. Oh, I think Preacher is must see entertainment. A bit out-there, but amazingly fun.

Tripled my shares this morning. Gets me half a boat load and if the dumpsters take us down a few more dollars I'll get the other half of what I want. I suppose I must being getting old because I can't see too good close up.

Little over price now on HCLP

"Selling covered calls is a good strategy for income."
In retrospect, that was a good way to miss a big move up in this stock. Every time someone starts pumping covered calls on a board for a thinly traded stock it seems to turn into a big move up. I think you should publicly apologize for giving such bad investment advice.

I'm new to the stock, just bought some recently near the bottom, and I appreciate your back story on the company. It reinforces what I could dig up regarding the stock actions of late. I watch for this set of fundamentals because it signals the self-empowered head-whatever is running his own stink-stank and engineering a cheap stock for their going-away smash and grab. Makes for excellent returns for any investor who can hold their nose and jump in and buy shares. I think that's where we are.....

  • At the moment things appear painful for the nay-sayers. Lots of comfort being long on days like this.
    I'd say it's a fracking miracle.

Right Abdul. And I'm also lazy. It's a lot of work picking the peanuts out of the elephant dung.

Or both. Sounds like someone with info or a hunch regarding a SLCA buyout of HCLP. Last thing you want when you are destitute is a bunch of cash on the books like HCLP..... someone will buy you out. lol ...

Seems like a lot of strategy just to hedge a risk. I love being a small investor, I can just pull the trigger anytime I want to and no strategy is needed.
