"Unconfirmed takeover rumors emerged on Thursday regarding Bristol-Myers (BMY) and Delcath Systems (DCTH). The general rumor that is being spread is that BMY will acquire DCTH for $15.00 a share. The stock surged 11.88% higher on the rumor.
In my original article, Delcath Systems: A Great Buy at These Prices, I estimated a potential target price for DCTH, if approved by the FDA, at approximately $37.00 per share.
Based on everything that I have learned about the company, I would give a 20% chance that this rumor has any credibility. For one, DCTH's potential is far greater then $15.00, and secondly I believe CEO Hobbs wants to take this company the same route as DNDN by staying independent at least through potential FDA approval."
The co claimed on Friday that they have cash on hand for a year versus earlier statements of 6 months. That would be FANTASTIC news.
Friday " We believe we have excellent clinical data, significant market opportunity and a strong balance sheet with enough cash to execute our current business plan for at least the next 12 months."
Up to now the co said they had cash on hand until year end. On Friday they said they had 12 months cash. Can't you figure that out? Stay tuned for the Tu CC news. The short squeeze after that will be MASSIVE.
I say you are wrong. If it comes this week I will no longer post. But if it does not, you MUST stop posting.
The stock momentum is up. Huge spikes during the week. HF buying or institutions. Keep your eye on the ball. When it hits 40 bucks, you'll ask yourself why you didn't buy 100 shares at least at 10 dollars.
The CFO (heck CEO's are cluless imho) will need to justify his numbers during the Tuesday CC. Adam F's are terribly low. The current DCTH numbers feel a bit high. But Delcath will need to explain them. All I know is that the recent buying has had several huge volume spikes. Hedge funds and institutions are stepping in. Unless you want ship in your face, do NOT short now.
You seem pretty scared. The hedge funds are controlling the share price here. They sold before to drive the price down & now are buying. They are now LONG this stock & you do not want to be on the wrong side of this trade. I know.
All they need to do imho is confirm they are on track for FDA approval in spring 2011 and that their global revenue estimates are credible.
I could care less. FDA approval is less than a year away and then 50 bucks per share or more. But if this is a contest, by Friday close we will be over 12 dollars.
A publication? You are obviously NOT a scientist. FDA approval would come faster than any manuscript submitted now for publication. It would take a year plus to review it, rewrite it, etc.
Dead wrong. Have you looked at the huge volume spike buys recently. The hedge funds are buying. Trust me. Wink wink. Stock headed up.
For every case in the USA there are almost 10 outside the USA, especially in Asia. Hobbs is already studying Chinese for when they buy out his co.
