$220 million is alot for a useless drug.

$220 million is cheap for a god drug.

if the company had faith in the drug and its abilities they would decline offer.

if espr accepted a $220 million offer then you can assume company has little faith in the drug.

i would also look for upper management insider buying. the only time i consider a risky bio-tech that takes a tremendous drop is large "personal" insider buying. i remember adlr had zero buys and large amt.sells past year. when sells spiked around $35 i shorted. took awhile but evently b/k.
remember almost all large funds have to sell an equity that drops below $10.00
so expect a pause around $11 and the a fairly quick drop to $5.

    Sentiment: Strong Sell

why buy ggn with dividend when can buy something like ng which has leverage to gold.??

NG has approx. 6/1 up on price of gold. if gold gets over 1600 ng might trade around $100(note gross approximation)

    I'm watching Copper

    by doctorj2222 Jul 1, 2016 12:11 PM
    huber714 huber714 Jul 6, 2016 10:40 PM Flag

copper is in a perfect long term decline.

when it breaks 2 bucks again will fall more.

china has issues probably big issues, china has been a huge source of demand past 10 years.
when china falls copper will fall. with the economy headed down wouldnt be surprised to see copper around a dollar long term.
copper and gold are not connected
    incr. copper=good economy
    incr. gold=bad economy.
i hope you are not in copper long and just posting to waste time due to boredom. b/c the chances of copper at 3.3 are so slim i wont bother with even trying to calculate the odds.

  • man that is a hole lot of pain.

hint large moves do not usually last more than 2 years.

up or down, so shorting something that was down past 2 years not a good idea.

shorting silver when govt printing fiat money=dumb

the only trend that will probably last well over 2 years is the rise of silver.

once silver makes its big move(imo this is the warm up) silver will go up indefinitely or until govt defaults and comes out with the USA dollar2.0 ie a new currency.

    Tsla is the new amzn

    by negativeshorter Jun 28, 2016 9:12 AM
    huber714 huber714 Jun 28, 2016 10:42 AM Flag

amzn is over inflated but they do have growth and momentum.

    tsla has many potential issues.
    not able to maintain growth.
    govt, subsidies.
    expenses and lack of profit
it is a elastic good, complete luxury good first item to drop when economy tanks,
it is a rich guys 3rd car, toy
it is a rich guys toy that depreciates, not like an old porsche or ferrari.
super rich still buy luxury goods in bad economy but tend more toward high end quality that appreciates, think rolex etc. i still see guys by lot of rolex even though smart phones have replaced the watch.
when markets starts longer term drop watch tsla tank like you wont believe.
    demand will drop
    cheap credit will constrict drastically
just a 10% drop in demand/sales and couple % interest incr. will cause tremendous damage.
plus i suspect accounting issues, just b/c its so common for stocks like this.

    doubt those numbers are correct.
over 4 million hybrids sold USA
so should be 20-60,000 hybrids alone.

second areas of Connecticut are super rich, lot of Naples has second or 3rd home there.
just reinforces that tesla is a rich persons 3rd or 4th vehicle.
i dont know any tesla owners that do not have 3-4 cars.
they make a great 3rd car. i really like the cars
wish tesla would only make high end electric, its trying to make a cheap electric that will kill the stock.
    short till sub-$25.00
just covered vjet 1/2 hour ago. that will give you a clear picture of what happens to over-inflated momentum stocks when the hype and momentum leaves,
just like solar and ethanol stocks.

  • covered today, thought i was joking when i said 5 bucks short and hold.
tsla is another short and hold till when ever, cover sub $25.00
couldnt believe buying scty- that was a gift didnt even expect that part.
could wait for b/k company has 25 million could burn thru that this year, but the last 5 bucks can take awhile. sometimes not worth waiting for and if a company has any positive developments what so ever can stay over or around 5 bucks a good while, so that why i cover here.

the derivatives are hedged with derivatives. the numbers are extreme and as far as we know very illiquid. when large traders are forced to sell large illiquid positions the losses will be staggering.
brexit shouldnt be a large issue, but it is causing(imo) people to actually look at some of the banks and the bad balance sheets.
as some of these balance sheet entries become real market sells and the markets see the losses, then the real selling starts.

  • huber714 huber714 Jun 24, 2016 3:15 PM Flag

seeking-alpha had a couple decent articles on how drop in oil
cause Saudi, Russia, china to start selling USA treasuries
and this selling combined with the derivative time bomb would sink market.
and all that is needed is a trigger to start the process.
Brixit is or should be a small deal if it was the only issue in a stable well run economy.
but we have a house of cards
    debt and derivatives=gas

  • huber714 huber714 Jun 24, 2016 3:01 PM Flag

agree db and cs will cause people to look ie. worry about other banks.

and b/c of leverage anything that has excessive liquidation will have difficulty.

its all a giant over leveraged snowball

  • huber714 by huber714 Jun 24, 2016 1:20 PM Flag

    not good for the stock
and db and cs could be the trigger for start of market decline

  • nobody else is going to give the company more money
so they can issue more shares and tank the stock twice as fast
    note, not short scty
    short tslr

No queston SCTY is for sale..

there are no offers not even uncle sam will buy this POS

  • just a little curious when not if scty goes B/K

and you have the super special solar package on your house, do you just stop paying the lease on the solar equipment or ???

you know the company would have something setup b/c they set this POS up like a robo-ponzi govt. subsidy cash guzzling machine. the people that started this scheme knew pretty good chance of b/k. so i would figure there is some place for those leases and money to go after b/k.

if not at least you solar quacks got a free solar setup.

i think it is cheaper and easier to insulate and change a few windows and doors to drop electric bill.

    $1700 and 5 days i made attic r75-90
    changed 4 windows
glass treatment 8 other sun side windows.
took my elec. bill south florida from $275 to $85 in one month flat
paid for the insulation 1st year, now thats a gooduse of resources.

if your an environmentalist this is thee type of stuff you should work on.

buy a hybrid, they work good and get good mileage

note i like electric cars, but only if the USA runs the grid off nuclear power then elec. make sense and dramatically drops carbon etc.

or use solar like Australia, super heat salt/water and run steam turbine. etc.

    Reason to WORRY!!

    by raymontomas Jun 23, 2016 4:24 PM

many of these items have long term leases and termination agreements /expenses.

the cost saving b.s. is one of the top 10 myths that wall street repeats so often that the uninformed actually believe this and accept it as as uncontested dogma.

75% of wall street mergers cost money. many never even realize cost savings
and the ones that do take 3-5 years for meaningful gains in cost savings.
the only short term savings come from laying some people off but this is almost always mitigated or exceeded by the cost of early termination of leases and long term contract cancellations. etc.

  • huber714 huber714 Jun 23, 2016 5:53 PM Flag

i am done this board isnt even worth reading.

i will stop back and cover around $25.00

maybe 5 bucks i know 1/2 at $25.00 and other half at $5.00

longs dont use your rent money.

once a bs. momentum stock starts to have cash flow problems and wall st. starts selling the drop can be stunning.

  • people that were dumb enough to take "free" solar panels install will face nightmare down the road.

many roofs only last 12-15 years in the very hot climates.

i paid my way thru school working for roofing company did residential and commercial.

solar was extremely rare back then but we did have other types of large installments on roofs..

A . any large install-on a roof makes it very hard to find a leak.

    B. the time and money incr. 2-3 fold.

so even if you get a free install a few years down the road a $12,000 roof is going to cost you 24 to 36k because of all the equipment that has to come off and get reinstalled.

so a new roof is going to cost 3-4 times what ever money you might ever save on electric.
then factor over 90% chance scty goes B/K. so your contract and warranty is toast. i would not be surprised to see an old solar install drop the vale of a southern ca. 850,000 home by 50,000 to 75,000

last ques. i would like to see someone post that has had to replace a roof, how much was it. i know there are not many yet b/c most units are pretty new and any responsible contractor would tell owner put a new roof down before solar instal, etc but its probably happened to a couple people.
also note scty might pickup the expense first few years because wouldnt want this issue becoming visable and public but guarantee 5-8 years from now they wont pay a dime.

    C. any time we had a large roof install, the roof doent last as long and we had 3 times as many call backs to fix leaks. i was on over 450 roofs during college and the one summer i was paired with the "fix it" guy he was the guy that did all the small repair work, leaks or details that the main crew screwed up or missed. and when we got to a tile roof with a giant solar water heater for the pool on it we knew that day was gonna suck.
one job we spent 5 days crawling around, couldnt find it couldnt fix it. that side of the roof had to come off and get redone from scratch.

  • this was well planned he will load up the rockets with cash and leave all the bag holders here on earth while he starts a new solar colony on mars. LOL
HELL he probably already pre-booked the ticket sales as profits.
i cant wait to watch the CNBC program on this scam.
it is a shame i love the cars. and no reason TSLA could not have been a raging long term success if they just built high end electric cars so the rich guys had fancy toys.

  • analyst usually do not drop rating on these blown out momentum stocks until 6 months after crash.

i can remember the number of down grades on lucent 6 months after huge drop.

i am sure we will see some DCB along the way but $150 is in the very near future.

and long term i feel extra safe short to $25.00

i might trade it for a few months but hold the core short for $25.00

have to remember at some point the failure becomes to obvious and short shares will not be avail.

during 2007/2008 a number of things i covered for shorter term profits i could not reshort (lack of shares)

even though i have 3 accounts can not always get shares.

  • huber714 huber714 Jun 21, 2016 8:53 PM Flag

    dude lock in some profits

you remind me of my buddy 1998/1999 lucent

he put all his money in lucent for over 2 years and never sold until it traded for a dollar after the tech crash.
