here, let me rub some salt in the wound…if you go back and somehow find (hello goggle) the presentations that have been removed from "our" website, you'll see that 150-300mg were used IN HAMSTERS to kill yellow fever virus. now, any clinician will tell you that sooner or later, you'll need to test 150-300mg BID (that's 2x a day) in healthy hamsters eventually. but our fearless hero CEO, (with a new office) want's to pound the table and say "we are not going to use one dime of our cash" so we had to wait, what, 2 years(?) to get this far, and get the 5mil. to do the trials. and that's why GILD is going to get to "the finish line" before we do…you guys remember "the finish line"? 5mil. - say, isn't that what they spent on the new office?

BTW- the first safety trial in humans was 10mg of 4430. now, i'm just going to throw this out there, but before they approve anything, you're probably going to have to test more than 10mg in humans…

and that's why we're at 3 bucks. total mismanagement, but not in stoney's eyes…no sir, he's going to build his empire…screw the shareholders who paid for it...

did we file for EU approval? if we did, that should be disclosed.

did we file for canadian approval? if we did, that should be disclosed.

did we finish pediatric p3? if we did, that should be disclosed.

sorry guys, i can only take so much…someone has CALL THESE GUYS OUT.

  • huskys4u2 huskys4u2 Jul 11, 2016 5:23 PM Flag

    "EU approval
    Canada approval
    Pediatric approval in U.S."

funny, that's not anywhere in the website under "pipeline"…by any other small cap company, these would be value generating milestones, and would warrant some disclosure...

now why wouldn't stoney put those "value creating events" on the website, or in presentations?

  • huskys4u2 huskys4u2 Jul 11, 2016 11:31 AM Flag

like my dad used to say "do it right, or don't do it at all"…

better yet, just put a splash on the home page that says…"no new investors wanted so that senior management can get artificially low stock options".

  • yep, right there in the pipeline page…you just can't find this kind of incompetence anywhere…

i can get a high schooler to do a better job on this website.

"Given the urgency with which GS-5734 is moving forward, Gilead has made a major investment in manufacturing. According to Tomas Cihlar, vice president of biology, the company has made enough of the drug to treat 1,000 people infected with Ebola for up to two weeks and is in the process of making thousands more doses."

so are we…but i wonder if stoney knows just how much of an underdog we are…or does he have "visions of grandeur"…our future rides on it...

"BCX4430 currently represents the only single drug that has demonstrated a survival benefit in non-human primates infected with Marburg or Ebola viruses," said Jon P. Stonehouse, President & Chief Executive Officer of BioCryst. "This new BARDA contract provides continuity in the ongoing development of our broad spectrum antiviral, '4430, and moves this program closer to the finish line."

he talking a "finish line" on Mar 31, 2015. you guys see a "finish line" anywhere?

we're hamstrung by funding and incompetence. and that's why we're trading at 3 bucks...

we're not going anywhere soon, he'll see to that…meanwhile the clock is ticking. if we only have 11.75 months of cash left, and it takes 6 months to do apex-1, we just blew past the ability to do apex 3 before cash runs out. now, the question is, if there's a shire or other pharma out there with an offer, the more time he takes to come to an agreement, the less leverage he has. i hope he's smart enough to see that. of course, the other side of that (to him) is that the future is so bright that he's got to build new buildings, then why the **** hasn't any of the "leadership team" opened up their wallets to do an open market purchase? i just looked, it's been so long that NASDAQ records doesn't go back that far…they sure know how to sell though...

thanks kiwi..;-) but occasionally, he does have a valid contribution, you just have to sort through the "scratch". for example, he was the first to point out the H1N1 problem going on in brazil. (which seems to have gone away from the press). i always try to keep an open mind...

    it's getting so blatant.

  • anybody notice how it's been "modified"? i remember a time when you look up our pipeline, there used to be links to every abstract, scientific publication, etc, etc…especially for 4430. now, if i'm a new investor looking for beta on 4430, there's just a brief few paragraphs for the description, and a summary of the contracts. no mention of the "nature" article, or the zika studies, or the clinical trials done and ongoing. at the very least, there should be what's in the latest 10q…now why would our "leadership team" want to do that? but hey, the new investor relations page looks great…(sorry fellas, i got altitude sickness from doing too much too soon…)

hold on, i have something positive to extrapolate from this news. usually the USG doesn't just throw money at something without it passing a milestone. could it be that IV 4430 has passed? God forbid we should get good news…guessing is the only method with this company...
