Really like the news this morning (judging by the stock reaction, I might be the only one ha). Looks like their new strategy is working. Good job management. Company will continue to diversify with new revenue streams. Think this is EVOL's first customer in the online gaming space. From the favorable comments by Nova Gaming's CEO, I'd say it won't be their last.
"NovaPlay is India's first platform for multiplayer gaming communities that is designed to engage gamers through content, offers, social features and tournaments," said Amitesh Rao, Chief Executive Officer of Nova Gaming Ventures. "Our business depends on the ability to efficiently acquire, engage and retain gamers, and we selected Evolving Systems based on its team and software platform's ability to rapidly build, test and launch highly personalized customer acquisition, engagement and upsell marketing tactics and to manage our customers experience through their entire life cycle."
Can't argue with that. Markets soaring to new highs today. And EVOL not participating at all. Down 4%. While complete garbage stocks like VII, BDR & DPW were up 100-200% today. Frustrating!
So are you short EVOL? Or just a disgruntled ex-long?
Was starting to perk up last week, but now sinking back down. Guess another opportunity to snag some cheap shares. I certainly don't understand who would be selling in the $5's. When BSQR could be trading at $10+ after a few more DataV deals are announced.
Oh today the first day I've seen it. How long has it been there? The 50K did disappear and then reappear several times just today. Strange. Guess it's a fund trying to buy? About $280,000 worth of shares. So someone with deep pockets. Hopefully they'll keep chasing it higher til they get filled. I'm not selling them my shares!
It's in Akron, Ohio. Haven't seen that one before. A new BSQR customer? Could it be Goodyear?

Excellent news after the close. Was worried there might be a delay. Seems like the company was able to get it launched on time. Maybe even a little early. CyberGage should start adding to revenues & profits in Q3. Even if Q2 not the monster that Q1 was, it should still be a great quarter and the outlook for the second half of the year and beyond should be very upbeat.
Like the comments from the CEO. Large market for CyberGage and the customers seem to love it:
“Customers are validating both the unprecedented one-button ease-of-use and the value of the highly accurate, full 3D scan and inspection data report they can generate in just minutes,” said Dr. Subodh Kulkarni, President and CEO of CyberOptics. “The 3D scanner market is ~$3.5B, growing at 10% with a sizable portion of the 3D scanner market addressable by the CyberGage360. This represents a large and growing opportunity for CyberOptics to bring our customers a simple, fast and accurate 3D scanning system that can lower their cost of quality and reduce time-to-market.”
Big stock market rally the last 2 days. Lots of stock on fire. Yet BSQR continues to languish in the $5.20's. Surprised not back up in the $5.50-$5.75 range or higher. Stock is below where it was a few weeks ago...BEFORE we got that awesome news about their first DataV win. A multi-year $4M contract from a Fortune 500 company. Then earlier this month, the CEO and another director were buying shares in the $6.09-$6.14 range. I've been buying this week as the stock seems like a steal here given recent developments. Wonder who's selling?
I actually think the stock is getting close to fair value. It's doubled in a month on no news. Still a low P/E. But LNTH should trade at a discount due to its horrible balance sheet and lack of top line growth. I wouldn't touch it over $4. But stock seems to have a lot of momentum right now, so maybe it keeps chugging higher.
EVOL should hold up well. People are hunting for yield in this uncertain, low interest rate environment. And EVOL sure looks good with its nearly 9% dividend yield. Some blue chip dividend payers like VZ, T & MO are actually trading at their 52-week highs. Wish that was the case with EVOL!
Thanks for the info. Yes stock was a huge outperformer today! Most micros getting beat up. Any green was good on a day like today. To be up 14% is fantastic.
Yep new BSQR job opening last week in Mountain View, CA. More work with Google. Related to the latest Google phone.
Position Summary- Position located in Mountain View, California. Work on software development and testing for the latest phones produced by our customer.
Not so quiet today. I think the market selloff is creating an excellent BSQR buying opportunity in the $5.40's and I just added some more. Only wish I was starting to buy now. Stock is back to where it was before some very positive recent developments.
First was this terrific news from a few weeks ago. Multi-year $4M contract with a Fortune 500 company for their new DataV product. This is BSQR's first major IOT deployment win.
Then more good news earlier this month with some insider buying. CEO bought 3,500 shares at $6.14. And a director bought 10,000 shares at $6.09-$6.14. Stock has to go up 12% just to get back to where the CEO thought it was undervalued enough to buy this month.
I'll gladly accumulate in the low $5's. BSQR should jump to the $6's and possibly much higher as more DataV deals roll in. Late last year BSQR ran to double digits. Wouldn't be surprised to see another run to $10+ in the coming months.
It would be nice to see some insider buying. The new CEO & another director bought a boatload of shares last November & December. Why not buy some more now. At lower prices too.
If you think the stock is going to fall hard, feel free to short it. Would be an interesting strategy. Don't short a high flyer with no earnings. Short a software company with huge profit margins, 32 consecutive profitable quarters, and an almost 9% dividend yield.
It's actually even cheaper than that. Q4 earnings were .10/share. Q1 earnings excluding the small acquisition charge were .11/share. BOSC could earn .40-.50/share this year. So forward P/E is more like 6. With 38% revenue growth last quarter. The acquisition should help pad revenue growth for the next few quarters.
I only wish I had waited til the $2.60's to start buying back my shares. Instead of buying around $3 last week. Oh well. Didn't think it would drop back so much after the company posted 2 consecutive strong quarters. Will gladly add more if people continue to throw their shares away. BOSC one of the few low floaters that has solid numbers. The $4.80's may have been a bit overdone, but I think this one can see another spike up on the next piece of good news.
Well if this is a new position, I think this is great news. EVOL just spent 2 quarters slashing expenses. They're not going to spend money unless they see a pretty big return on their investment. So I agree that with his extensive knowledge of their full product line, the new VP should hit the ground running.
I agree some progress was made during the quarter. Gross margins were up and costs were down. Excluding the 1-time items, the bottom line was around breakeven. But revenues were still down. So the stock being up 70%+ today seems kinda crazy to me.
Stock is up on the earnings report this morning. But the funny thing is the good earnings were completely due to a 1-time gain from a $306,774 gain on disposal of assets. So the huge jump on volume doesn't make much sense.
Maybe so. Stock price stinks for sure. Has been in the toilet for almost a year now. I like the new hire. Did they even have a VP of Sales & Business Development? I would assume so, but I'm not showing one. New guy sounds like a perfect fit. Has 25 years of experience, and had roles at both Evolving and Sixth Sense in the past.
