Actually, it was a case of fixing something that wasn't broken by a pencil neck geek who has too much idle time on his/her hands. Hardly anyone using the message board wants to have a damn "conversation" but are subjected to such by someone who hasn't a clue!
"Slam dunks" scare me until the ball hits the floor. Politics hide is in every nook and cranny nowadays and you can never trust it to remain in place and hidden until the deal is done. Look at what the senile Ginsberg recently did in opening her mouth about Trump; a totally inappropriate opinion that she didn't know, apparently, was not becoming of a Supreme Court judge. (I thought Trump should have fired back the question of who appointed you Judge Ginsberg?)
Of course, the government illegally seized Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to any sane individual and a violation of all our securities laws. But, I need to get that confession in writing or else, request a jury trial.
I really believe that "they" thought, by their actions, Fannie and Freddie would wind down and wilt away.
Both have proven to be extraordinarily resilient. "They" now must consider the longer this plays out, the more it's going to cost the taxpayers in damages paid to those whose Constitutional rights have been violated.
I think you will find most were born in "Amerika" since that name for this piece of land has been around since John Cabot. As you point out with the Declaration of Independence, she didn't say anything about being born in the United States of America, she said born American......and most were Amerikan, in the jargon of the day.
Yahoo! is a media outlet. There is no such thing, anymore, of a conservative media source of any kind. Sort of went the way of the dinosaur, I suppose. Individual intelligence seems to be headed in that direction too.
Screw the native Americans. They walked over on the land bridge and squatted on the land; not owning anything. We came over on ships and squatted, then kicked their #$%$ and took what they wanted. The strongest bully wins!
They then huddle up, whine, and drink all the firewater in sight. To shut them up, the government throws away money on them every year and they get even drunker. Boo hoo.
They had better worry about HRC. Obama has pushed us to the brink of socialism and Clinton would give us the nudge over the edge. There would be no coming back!
I don't personally know but some who do know say Jefferson has rolled over in his casket which is suppose to be symbolic of KMA!
This is the point to which the utterly ridiculous law profession has driven itself.
We can not lose any of the lawsuits unless some of the cases end up with bumbling lawyers. The "man" Olson has already given us a scare with his seemingly poor performance in front of the panel.
Bigger question is where are the idiots that believed him and voted for him, not once but twice?
Really, intent makes no difference. She did break the law and the FBI pointed out to the American public why it is such a joke to get justice. Comey is now a card carrying member of the Clinton Foundation and all of its future benefits to members....much like Loretta Lynch.
To give you a simple answer, as we are held in conservatorship, we still are owners of 20% of this corporation.
The sweep and associated agreements will be proven illegal, and that is what is standing in the way of equity holders resuming their 100% ownership. The confiscation of all profits is just plain pilfering and robbery of Fannie's bank account by the Unites States Government. That is highly illegal on many plateaus.
I will just about guarantee you that the these dregs of society have benefitted from Fannie and Freddie being placed in perpetual conservatorship!
This whole fiasco revolves around the fact that the government "thinks' it owns Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac because they are referred to as GSEs. They have been private, shareholder owned entities since 1969 and 1970, respectively, because the government made them privately owned. There is no way, on any sort of Constitutional challenge, to make them anything else! Why any court would have a problem with ownership is beyond comprehension. The government is unlawfully exerting its will on both corporations as if it was the owner. It must be made to pay for its sins against the equity owners.
Since we've owned Freddie Mac all through the mess, and worst case scenario of 20% ownership (which won't be declared legal), WHERE"S MY DAMN DIVIDENDS FOR THE PAST FOUR YEARS!
