Sorry daily, but voting a third party is voting "for" who you might think would make the best president. That is it! That is what the ballot is set up to do. If who I actually would prefer to be president is neither of the two front runners is a moot point. If I had voted for one of the front runners, I would be possibly helping elect a person for whom I have little to no respect. Hillary Clinton's husband is not running for office. I didn't see his name on my ballot? Let me know if he is on your ballot. The difference between Clinton and Trump's behavior regarding women was that Clinton willing engaged in consensual sex and didn't go around like your choice, Mr. Trump who was getting taped as being proud of it and explaining how his position "entitled" him to grab women by their "p****". Trump didn't mention that what he did was consensual, which if you did it today, and somebody complained, you would go to jail. Sorry if you find my post rude and repulsive, but sometimes the truth actually can hurt. Again, I voted for whom I thought would be the best president.
You can be skeptical, but being quite liberal, I didn't vote for either Trump or Clinton but voted for somebody else. My wife didn't vote at all for the top of the ticket but only down ballot elections. You, of course will vote for Trump and claim it as a Christian duty. You would have been happy to have made a choice in an election with Stalin and Hitler on the ticket. I actually voted "for" somebody, where I feel you are going to vote against somebody and vote for a sexual predator to lead the country. You would have fit in well with Duterte in the Philippines.
Oil prices plummeted long before the Iran deal was done. Long long before. The world is awash in oil at the moment, and sad that gas prices haven't fallen further but the ethanol requirements (something the red states did for their farmers) that have not been repealed now that new ways to get oil are available , have caused gas prices to be higher and mileage to drop. Ethanol was not a bad idea initially when we were importing far far more oil and wanted some independence, but it should no longer apply, but folks like Mr. Pence want to help those poor farmers. As I said before, we are at the lowest tax rates in decades and decades and therefore the debt will continue to grow as the population grows.
Of course, DT hyped it as great and giving Brits more freedom. Let's look at how it is working out.
Let's see..a year ago this time the pound was worth 1.5417 US dollars and today the pound is worth 1.2166 which looks like about a 21% drop in purchasing power in terms of US goods. How about against the EURO that the Brits were so eager to abandon. Before Brexit Euro exchange rate with pound was 1.35 and has now fallen to 1.12, so that is about a 17% hike in costs of goods purchased from countries using the Euro. The banking system has taken a real hit in interest wise, so that will have to correct. So far, the positive effect might be that if you take your $ to England, English items will be a little less expensive....kind of like when you take money to Nicaragua or Venezuela. Their economy with all this devaluation of their currency hasn't really produced much growth, as it looks like they will be headed for about a 2% GDP for the year, but time will tell. My daughter has her inlaws that are Brits and will be visiting soon. Unfortunately, they voted for Brexit and are now a bit miffed that the cost of their vacation to come see their grandchildren has gotten a lot more expensive. Oh well, at least they can say they have "freedom." lol I just hope they don't get sick here, or they will be penniless.
You must be getting all worked up. I didn't call him a hypocrite for paying his taxes, but rather I called him a hypocrite for claiming he supports vets, wants more for the military and yet doesn't pay federal taxes which is the revenue source of the military and veterans. I am not saying he must pay taxes as you claim I am arguing. I am just saying that if he doesn't, and so far that is true regarding federal taxes, then he shouldn't be claiming he supports federal programs that depend solely on federal taxes to function. He says he loves war, and wants to bomb everyone, but he wants others to pay for it, and his new tax plan just insures that he will again escape paying. He is a hypocrite..plain and simple. Now..don't get all worked up.#$%$
You didn't have to say anything about coal, because you support Trump and he has said plenty about coal. He blames Obama and Clinton for coal's problem, and all I brought up was that with increased natural gas, and increased oil, coal is no longer a viable and economic option unless you don't care at all about pollution and are happy with acid rain. Trump hates science, as he thinks global warming is something invented by the Chinese, and you back a person that thinks like that. I don't. That doesn't mean I back HC. I don't have to deflect anything, as you have already deflected from clean environments, global warming and coal. Ocean currents and waves are a good source of energy, but that isn't something either Trump or the right wing has advanced, as they are interested in advancing oil, oil, oil and lowering standards on pollution. They have a very good history of it, and you must enjoy it, as that is the type of thinking most conservatives have. Teddy Roosevelt would be crucified today, as most conservatives want the national parks sold off to developers. Then they thump their bibles in error.
I don't think you got the gist of what I was inferring with Trump regarding his paying of no federal taxes. I am well aware that the tax laws are written by congress. My complaint with Trump is my complaint to many hypocrites. When somebody claims they support something but don't contribute, they are a hypocrite as far as I am concerned. Trump talks great about veterans, but he never paid any federal taxes so he didn't contribute to any soldiers pay, medical costs, or pensions. The only contribution he made is with his mouth. He didn't help fund Annapolis, West Point, the Air Force Academy, or USCG academy nor their graduates. He says he loves war, but he hasn't paid for any of it, because he wants taxpayers (he doesn't qualify) to fund the military, national parks, CIA, FBI, DEA, et al. He likes to talk about the waste in government, but since he didn't pay taxes, he should best keep his mouth zipped. Neither he nor Hillary get my vote, as I am not a fan of sexual predators nor people who fail to obey the law regarding personal emails while in office. You may not care whether there is a sexual predator in the house who is supported heavily by three marriage Gingrich or three marriage Guiliani, but being that a marriage is a smallest form of government, Trump hasn't done well in that department.
I have no problem with your comments regarding the increased supply of oil. What I have is DT's hyping of coal again. Coal miners and coal has fallen out of favor mainly because of the increased oil and gas supply. That is on top of coal being an unclean source of energy. We should be getting away from coal, but Trump would rather put those folks back to work somehow (maybe subsidies) to insure buggy wagon technology in the energy market. Of course, Obama is given the credit for curtailing coal, but the market curtailed coal. It is like buggy whips. If you want unregulated coal, then say so..enjoy giving your children black lung and other diseases. What should be pertinent, and you failed to address is that federal tax rates are extremely low compared to history, and yet with the big complaints against debt, it becomes hard to pay it off unless somebody pays taxes. Trump doesn't and Buffet pays little as a % of income. You may not think that stock market indices are pertinent, and perhaps in many ignorant peoples' minds they are not, but most will tell you their IRA's grew considerably after Obama took office from Bush to today. Those may be moot points to you, and that is OK.
"Trump has never had a personal bankruptcy."
And that is supposed to mean what? He is using US corporate law to hide his personal assets from being part of a bankruptcy. The government itself can't do that. He can talk big about growing the military but that takes tax money and he doesn't pay fedral taxes or have you forgotten?
"Any clown can stand up and promise anything"
The orange clown has already done that proving your point? After all, he has promised a wall across the southern US "a great wall" paid for by Mexico. If you believe that promise, PT Barnum was right. He promised to round up 15 million or so illegals, but doesn't say how, and with the debt you are worried about, doesn't look like that promise will take place either. He promises to make America great again but can't tell you when it was great or what it will be like. He promises manufacturing jobs coming back here while he himself and his children are busy buying their products overseas. "Where's the beef?" Trump steaks? Trump airlines? Trump wine? Enjoy the comedy show.
I also see two different paths. We have one candidate hyping tax cuts when he himself doesn't pay federal taxes anyway, so how do you cut his any more? I have been through tax cuts before, and there is no doubt in my mind that trickle down is a failure. We are at the lowest federal income tax rates in most taxpayers' lifetimes. The rates are so low that I pay a lower % of federal income tax now than I did when I was eighteen years old working at menial job. We can't stand having a govt. with little revenue. What looks like the govt getting loads of revenue such as corporate tax high rates turn out to be very low, as after deductions are applied, little to any corporations pay that much. The figure there is only to fool the masses of wage earners thinking corporations pay a lot. Compare the total revenue to the feds in 1960 from corporate taxes to what they receive today in corporate taxes as a % of the whole. Eisenhower warned us against a military industrial complex, and Trump wants to make it even bigger. I do know that when Bush loft office, unemployment was well over 7% and now it is far lower. Gas prices were far higher when Bush left office than they are today. Oil imports were far higher when Bush and his buddies left office than they are today. Teen pregnancies are far lower today than they were when Bush left office. It goes on and on. Where was the stock market when Bush left office and where is it today? Have a great week.
It is an election between two unpopular people. One candidate has a sleazy public past in service, but has generally wanted what was best for the majority of Americans, not just for one American. She has worked hard on social issues, wants banking controls, wants a public option in healthcare to reduce cost drastically for Americans and their healthcare cost and to remove most of the profit driven healthcare system we have that has resulted in poor care for the highest dollar with no end in sight., She is smart enough to realize that the rest of the industrialized world made that jump in healthcare and not one of those countries wants our system, because most had it at one time and saw its failures. There is a reason that she is supported by a far greater majority of educated college graduates than her closest rival. Her rival, on the other hand is a thrice married (smallest form of govt. is marriage) six times bankrupted megalomaniac that believes he is smarter than the generals and is the "only" person capable of fixing govt. He has made money and stiffed many in the process, but it was all about himself. He gets riled in tweets and requires all sorts of spin doctors to interpret what he says, but those won't be available when he talks directly to world leaders. He has a dictatorial mindset that wants to jail political opponents much like Duterte in the Philippines. I likes loud boisterous crowds and loves to incite. It feeds his ego. He convinces the uneducated that he will bring jobs back, but it won't and can't happen and eventually jobs will be replaced through automation anyway. He is a vulgar, four letter word diplomat, that has many of the pseudo christians known as evangelicals to condone and back is hill behavior. He has offered little other than to make an unwarranted claim he would build a wall across the southern border and have another country pay for it. Big difference. I support neither
chugmy isn't a woman. Wikileaks already let me know. Otherwise, why would be say bite me or chugmy10. Identity crisis he has. I don't need to toot a horn at what I do for poor and disenfranchised, but I will just leave it as I do stuff. DT is a con man. He says how much he cares for various entities such as veterans, but if there was any truth to what he said, he would have paid taxes to insure their salaries and benefits. Instead, he chose to dodge any payment of taxes to support things required by citizens of the nation. He lands at airports paid for by taxes he didn't pay. If he has gone to a national park, he shouldn't be let in, as he hasn't paid any taxes that keep it operating. Chugmy likes that kind of person. One who takes, takes, takes, takes and takes and then pumps out their chest that they provided jobs. Every slave owner provided jobs and help insure low unemployment figures. No kudos for chugmy.
Liberals were for considering slaves as human beings. Liberals were ones who thought that women should be able to own property and vote. Liberals were the ones that thought burning people at the stake as witches was not a good thing. Liberals were the ones who wanted to outlaw child labor and have minimum wage. Arch conservatives like chugmy are part of the reason the world is falling apart. They become narcissists and their love for money is their downfall. Conservatives wanted no safety laws, no pollution laws, no voting rights laws, but rather they preferred owning and controlling.
The professed freedom, but it was only for themselves. Sad.
Poor Mr. chugmy1.0,
"There is no global warming. Period."
That is OK...At least in America you can think what you want. Of course you are at odds with the vast vast majority of scientists. The ice caps are melting the global water temps are rising and you are in denial (and I don't mean the warming river in Egypt.) Of course you don't care what the newspapers printed in Hawaii regarding Obama's birth 50 years ago, but you can't defend DT's claims and yet you worship him. You can deny climate change and global warming or join the Flat Earth Society. Whatever makes you high...go for it chugmy1.0. In the meantime, have a papaya, a few rambutan, mangosteen or longan and enjoy the day shorting FRO. Let us know what you gleaned at the next Flat Earth Society meeting.
Wonderful accurate expose'
Mr. chugmy 1.0,
You failed to answer the questions. Nice try though, and I certainly think that with your doctorate in environmental science along with your doctorate in business from Harvard certainly should give you some good business and scientific acumen regarding global warming. Trumplestiltskin may have conned you, as he did many of his money lenders, but that doesn't change facts. You are entitled to your opinions but that doesn't entitle you to alter facts. You are correct in that you don't know about Obama's birthplace, but doesn't it seem kinda funny to you that two editions of newspapers announced it when it happened in Hawaiian papers over a half century ago, and his birth certificate, other than the dates and names is identical to every other birth certificate of the men and women who serve in the military from Hawaii? If you think there was a conspiracy over 50 years ago to have somebody's name printed in the Honolulu papers trying to hide a Kenyan birth, because it would prevent this person from running for president, you need some serious mental help.
"And I'll tell you something, every time Trump makes an allegation or states a position it is true OR comes to fruition."
What a joke. Let's see....Did it come true that Obama was born elsewhere and not legally president? Let's see, did it turn out true that Ted Cruz' father was working with Lee Harvey Oswald with the Kennedy assassination? Those are just two of Trump's allegations and they didn't either turn out to be true or come to fruition. Let's see, Donald Trump stated that global warming was a hoax and invented by the Chinese. That didn't turn out either. I think brother chugmy1.0 likes to talk "ATTRO". After the truth runs out. He is very similar to Trump. Hot air. After all, his 3 weeks have passed and FRO just isn't where chugmy predicted. OH MY!
How have you been? Sure would be nice to have the old "normal" board back. Isn't it amazing these "big" traders with all their money waste their time here on this board. This board was designed for us low lifers....not the uber billionaire traders.
