Actually, they very clearly disclaim their compensation by MSLP, going so far as to mention the actual amount of stock they receive, and how long they must hold it for at the end of the video.
Beast sports nutrition. Has anyone seen their latest branding? WOW. Go to their website if you haven't (Yahoo does not allow any links at all!).
It is CLEARLY a ripoff of the MP logo, and should be trademark infringement as their logo is trademarked. I don't know much about them, but from doing some research, they seem to be having good traction so far.
Just goes to show there is a lot of competition in this area. Also shows that MP is doing something so well that others are attempting to copy their branding success. IMO MP should seriously consider buying beast or suing their #$%$ off...
If you are new to investing, I would recommend some diversified, low-expense ETFs to get you started. MSLP is a great find for sure, but it is the exception, not the rule (especially for OTC stocks).
Just make sure you take it slow and be cautious. Remember, Wall Street hates you and if you were to see them in a dark ally, they would stab you and leave you for dead, then run off into the night in order to take the 5 dollars you had on you.
There is no difference other than location. Coal companies in China can more easily supply coal to China.
China is a large consumer of coal and unlike the US it's coal use is growing. Also, they don't seem to care as much about the cleanliness of it (unlike the US).
Anyway, not saying to buy the stock, just wanted to give you something else to check out in addition to LLEN. Good luck!
Thanks for this info. I had a longer reply but after 3 attempts at posting it and it getting removed for no obvious reason, I gave up. I really hate these new message boards.
Glad to do it. Yes, I think the endorsements are great for brand awareness, which is the strength of this company.
Two out of the top three supplement brands have been acquired by larger companies. These two companies were Optimum Nutrition (sales were 185 mln) and BSN (sales were 135 mln). The other company in the top 3? MusclePharm.
Using the buyout prices these two companies received as related to their annual sales, and estimated 100 mln in MP sales, this gives us a buyout price today of around $21 / share.
I don't buy stocks because of the likelihood of a buyout, but given that 2 out of the top 3 have been bought out, and MP is the third, I would say that the potential for a buyout of this company is very high. GLTA.
When I started monitoring them, they were brand #72 out of the top #400 or so brands. Not bad for a newly launched product.
They have been consistently climbing in the brand rankings up to 70, 68, 65, and now are #62 today. The important thing here is they are climbing steadily and not re-tracing.
Google trends is indicating search interest for them is still at an all time high. Their twitter followers are still increasing, but not as rapidly as they have been. I am not sure how much of that is seasonal and / or due to their somewhat poor management and interaction of their twitter account. Regardless, they are still adding followers.
Anyway, important takeaway here is that from these channel checks both MP and FitMiss brands are still at all time high interest and / or steadily increasing.
From the conference call:
"For the first quarter of 2013, the company reported a net loss of $7.4 million compared to $16.0 million for the first quarter of 2012. Prior to accounting for the $3.6 million of non-cash stock-based compensation for the consultants, the company reported for the first time in the history a $2.8 million net operating income."
Do you even do *any* research at all? Sales have increased every quarter. They have no debt. The only reason they lost money this past quarter was because of one-time charges. With none of these charges coming back next quarter, they will be profitable. Then what will your excuse be?
You are playing with fire my friend if you short this.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
